There's something about the way that you always see the pretty view
Overlook the blooded mess, always lookin' effortless
And still you, still you want me

I got no innocence, faith ain't no privilege
I am a deck of cards, vice or a game of hearts
And still you, still you want me

Oh, I always let you down
Shattered on the ground
But still I find you there
Next to me

And oh, stupid things I do
I'm far from good, it's true
But still I find you
Next to me

Birds were chirping far away.

A faint warmth hitting his skin.

A soft blanket covering his body.

The smell of... cologne? A blend of sandalwood and spices.

Loki slowly opened his eyes, nausea rising from his stomach as his world was a blur. His throat was dry, every muscle in his body feeling heavy and soar. He pressed his eyes shut, trying to recall where he was and what had happened.

"...Loki?"

The trickster's eyes widened. He turned his head, gaze focusing on a man who sat in a wingback chair next to his bed. His sight started to return. He let out a heavy sigh and smiled, his voice raw and barely audible as he whispered.

"Steve."
