His eyes were always on me.
I felt them, I saw them, often I even dreamt about them.
When someone gives their attention to you freely, it is very difficult to ignore. It is so flattering that you very quickly start yearning for it.
My eyes became curious and I often found myself gazing back at him, just to see if he was still there -and often blushing furiously, quickly turning away when his piercing gaze hit me. Without exception, he was always there, silently watching me and I was always there wanting all of his attention.
I'm sure there were people who would find this kind of intense attention disconcerting, but for me, his constant presence was comforting. His gaze soothed me. It was as if he were holding me with his gaze. His quiet presence felt like a safety bubble around me.
But the more I looked, the more I wanted to look... and the more I wanted to look, the more I wanted him to be looking...and the more I wanted him to be looking, the more I wanted him to want me.... The way I wanted him.
Our eyes became magnets, always attracted to each other.
