I'm Emma, and I'm very well known for being a big fan of the Sonic franchise. But then one day I fell asleep... and when I opened my eyes... I was on the ark! (Read to find out what happens)
(My POV) Right now I was currently waiting on my dad in his truck. My dad had stopped at a gas station and was inside the minimart getting some drinks and small snacks for us because of it being a hot day. The two of us were headed to the archery range and decided to stop by the gas station Mini Mart to grab some snacks and drinks.
I suddenly got a tad drowsy and decided to close my eyes for a bit. But just as my eyelids had closed I caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a small group of men in lab coats.

When I opened my eyes I noticed I wasn't in my dad's truck. The door to what appeared to be a tube that I was in had opened and out of curiosity I stepped out. As I was looking around a notice that a black and red hedgehog was stepping out of a similar tube to my right.
He must have noticed me staring at him because he turned his gaze towards me and just stared back. This of course caused me to blush. Suddenly the floor became much more interesting as I tried my best to hide my blush. Just then I heard what sounded like a fake cough.
(???) Hello Miss, my name is Shadow. Mind telling me your name?
(Me) O-Oh! I-I'm Emma. ...Emma the hedgehog.
After a short introduction an overweight scientist with a big white mustache walked in. The scientist introduced himself as Dr. Gerald robotic. After the introduction Gerald told us how he had someone he wanted us to meet. The two of us followed him to a room that he called homeroom. When we got there I saw a blond girl staring out the window.
(Gerald) Maria my dear, I have two people I'd like you to meet.
The girl turned around and her expression changed from confused and curious to one of curiosity and shock. Gerald guided us towards her and introduced us to her. I was a little nervous at first but the sincere smile and pure joy in her eyes seemed to give me a confidence boost.
As the years went by shadow and I developed a special bond with each other and with Maria. She taught us about so much. Certain holidays, special events but most of all... planet earth. One year when we celebrated Christmas we each made each other special gifts. I had made two special necklaces for each of them.
I had made Maria a necklace with a sunflower and two different types of moons. The pattern of moons was basically crescent shape and Full moons. As for the necklace I made Shadow... his necklace had a rose on it and a pattern of white and yellow stars.
Shadow's gift had been some plush dolls. The dolls that he gave Maria were plush toys of me and him. When I saw my dolls I just couldn't help but smile. I had gotten an a plush toy of Maria and a plush toy of Shadow. I loved my new plush dolls so much that I couldn't help but squeeze them in a hug.
Now Maria had given us our gifts. Shadow's gift was wrapped in brown and blue striped wrapping paper with a green ribbon on it. And mine was wrapped in black and red striped wrapping paper with a light blue ribbon on it.
We each opened up our gifts and my eyes sparkled with glee. I reached into the box and pulled out a scarf made up of two different shades of blue. The scarf was mostly light blue with A sian stripe that was the same color as my limiter rings
I looked over at shadow to see him pulling out a similar scarf. Except the difference was that his was a light red with a yellow stripe through it that was the same exact shade of yellow as his limiter rings. I saw a small smile appear on his face as he looks over at Maria. I did the same thing and we both said thank you to her.
Little did we know... that it would be our last Christmas together... and our last Christmas with Maria...
