II.

Katy had her ice cream date with Niall in one hour. If she was being quite honest, she was very nervous for their first date.

On the bed she had laid out three different outfits. She really wanted to impress Niall, and a cute outfit was the first step of doing that.

Katy picked the outfit with a plaid pink dress, a light pink cardigan, and white converse. She pulled her hair into a neatly styled messy bun and pulled two strands of hair from the front to frame her face.

She walked towards the door and grabbed the key for her hotel room and started her walk to the ice cream shop that Niall was meeting her at.

When the ice cream shop came into view, she saw a certain brown haired boy standing outside of it. "You came!" Niall exclaimed.

"Why wouldn't I?" Katy asked.

Katy took a moment to take in what Niall was wearing. His shirt was a blue and white striped button-up, and he was wearing navy blue pants.

"I don't know," Niall said with a shrug, "Don't know who would want to stand this up," Niall gestured towards himself and smirked.

Katy let out a giggle, "Should we go in?"

"Of course," Niall held his arm out for Katy to take. The two then walked into the shop, arm in arm.

Niall stepped up to the counter, where a man with brown hair, chocolate-colored eyes, and tattoos running up and down his arms stood.

"Hey Payno!" Niall greeted 'Payno' excitedly.

"Nialler!" Payno greeted back. "What can I get for the two of you?" Payno's eyes traveled over to where Katy was standing.

"A chocolate cone," Katy and Niall said at the same time. The two looked at each other and giggled. Payno looked at them and whispered something like "soulmates" under his breath.

Payno started scooping out the ice cream to make the cones, "How did you two meet?" he asked.

"We met at the pub last night," Niall answered. Niall looked at Katy fondly.

"Last night?" Payno asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Yeah, we had fun," Katy said this time.

Payno turned to her, "Well I'm Liam, It's great to meet you."

"You too," Katy replied.

The two walked out of the ice cream shop, arms linked again, and started walking down the board walk.

"I really like spending time with you," Niall spoke.

"Same."

Niall moved his hand down from Katy's arm and linked their fingers. Katy looked into his clear blue eyes.

"You're really hot," she said to him.

"Yeah, I know," Niall smirked, and then took their linked hands and pressed a kiss to the back of Katy's hand.

Katy turned to Niall and their eyes met. She swore that in that moment everything else was gone. She was drowning in Niall's everything. Sparks lit up in Niall's eyes. He leaned his face forward to be closer to Katy's. Neither of them breathed, but they didn't need oxygen when they were that close to each other.

Katy stepped back slightly, but slipped and fell off the boardwalk and into the water. She heard Niall scream out her name.
