EIGHT

A Christmas Nightmare

Winwin was fast asleep when he was woken by a small whimper from beside him. He sat up slowly, rubbing the sleep from his eyes to see his boyfriend, tossing and turning beside him, his forehead and neck dripping in sweat. Winwin watched for a second as he regained consciousness, trying to figure out what to do.

"Yuta?" He whispered, giving the older boy a slight nudge. When he didn't respond, he tried again. "Yuta?!" He said louder, shaking his arm a little harder.

Yuta sprung up from his spot, almost headbutting Winwin in the process. His breathing was erratic as he looked around the room frantically. Meanwhile, Winwin watched, confused and concerned.

When Yuta's eyes fell on the smaller boy decide him, he felt like he could finally breathe, gesturing for the smaller to come closer and hug him. Doing as instructed, Winwin crawled closer until he sat on Yuta's lap, pulling the blanket over his shoulders to keep himself protected from the harsh winter night cold.

"Are you okay?" Winwin asked, being pulled against Yuta by his strong arms that had wrapped around the youngers waist.

"Yeah" Yuta breathed, nuzzling his head into the younger shoulder as he did the same to his neck.

Winwin left small pecks up and down the older neck, finding that it was usually a quick way to calm him down when he was stressed or worked up. Yuta held the boy tighter as a cold air brushed past his neck as winwin sat up again.

"Look at me," Winwin said, pressing his hand against Yuta's cheek softly. Yuta slowly lifted his head so his forehead rested against the younger boy's. "Tell me what happened," He asked softly, closing his eyes as they pressed together softly.

"I- it- I was just a dream. Don't worry about it" Yuta sighed. He didn't want the younger to worry about something as stupid as this. Especially on top of all the pressure they were already under as Christmas approached.

"But i do. I do worry about you. Please, tell me what happened" Winwin pouted, pulling away from Yuta so he could see his face, pushing away a few stray hairs that stuck to his forehead.

Yuta sighed, his eyes drifting to his lap before talking up. "I dreamt- I dreamt that you dumped me. It's stupid first time dating stuff, so, just forget it" Yuta nodded, turning his head away from the younger boy's stare.

Winwin sighed, climbing off the boy's lap before then sliding off the bed, taking the blanket with him as he continued to hold it wrapped around himself. Yuta watched in dismay, unsure of what the boy was doing.

"yah, where are you going?" Yuta called out, confused and somewhat hurt by the boy's actions.

"Huh, oh sorry, who are you? I seem to have 'Forgot it'" Winwin joked, keeping a straight face before turning and continuing out the room. Yuta smiled and bit his lip before standing up and chasing the boy down the hall.

"Hey, if you are leaving, at least give me the blankets back!" Yuta shouted, having a complete disregard of the fact it was four in the morning.

"No. It's cold. Ah, get away from me stranger!" Winwin laughed as Yuta pushed him onto the couch before climbing on top of him.

Yuta flopped his body on top of the younger boy, refusing to move. Eventually, the two fell asleep like that. It wasn't until around two hours later when the younger boy woke up that Yuta ended up being thrown on the floor, waking him as well, leaving him to watch as the smaller boy waddled back to the bedroom, obviously still half asleep with the blanket still wrapped around him.

Yuta laughed to himself before slowly standing up and following the younger back to bed where they spent another few hours. Snuggled together, with Yuta now finally under the sheets as well, they enjoyed their morning together, leaving Yuta to completely forget about the dream he had had that night.

13th day of December, only 12 days left till Christmas, how is everyone feeling?

I started doing Christmas decorations today and I feel so much more festive.
