The door creaked open as Ghostbur turned around.

"Ah hello, Fundy!" He smiled. Fundy glared at him as he sat down on a chair beside the fireplace.

"Hello, Ghostbur," Fundy replied. Ghostbur chuckled as he floated towards his canonically so-called son and gave him some butterfly pea tea.

"How are you, my son?" He asked. Fundy bit his cheek as he looked at Ghostbur, his eyes were a pale white.

"Good I guess, what about you?"

"I'm doing great! Ranboo gave me more books and quills to write in!" Ghostbur smiled.

"That's... nice," Fundy mumbled. They both stopped talking as it went very awkward.

Finally, Ghostbur spoke up.

"So, why are you here? Come to visit your father?" He snickered. Fundy's ears twitched as he looked up from the ground.

"Ghostbur this is my house and, we- we need to talk." Fundy stuttered. Ghostbur's eyes widened, he hated it when people wanted to have a so on "talk" with him.

"Right... uh- Oh look! There's a butterfly outside I-"

"WILBUR!" Fundy shouted, his tail slashed across the air as he stood up; growling.

Ghostbur looked up; shocked. His eyes widened as he looked down.

"I'm not him..." Ghostbur mumbled. Fundy looked at Ghostbur.

"W-What?"

"I'm not him."

"Who?"

"WILBUR! I'M NOT- I'm- I'm not him Fundy." Ghostbur inhaled then exhaled, trying to stay calm.

Fundy's ears pinned back as he sighed.

"Sorry." He replied.

Ghostbur said it was no worries as he sat down across from Fundy, he sipped a bit of the blue colored tea.

"Sorry for acting out, I just don't like when people say that I'm Wilbur."

"That's okay," Fundy replied. He sighed and drinking a bit of his tea; setting it down afterward.

"Ghostbur... do you, hate me?" He asked.

"What?" Ghostbur dropped his tea on the table as some spilled onto the ground.

"Just, our family connection isn't going well and-" He got cut off.

"Fundy, I would never hate you! Your one of my only special memories I have left."

Fundy and Wilbur stared at each other.

"Look, I know I left you during a bad time but- I'm trying to make us be a family again." Ghostbur smiled.

"Your... trying?" Fundy said. He had a disappointed face on him.

"Yes, I'm trying."

"TRYING? YOU HAVEN'T EVEN TRIED TO VISIT ME ONCE!" Fundy growled. "All you do is go around me and annoy me every day! I can't get any work done without you floating in my house!"

"I-" Ghostbur didn't know what to say, his mouth was shut closed like icicles freezing.

They always fought even when Ghostbur was alive, however, this was one of the worst fights they had.

"I'm... Sorry, Fundy." Ghostbur sighed. Fundy had tears in his eyes as he wiped them away, turning around.

"Sorry isn't enough, Ghostbur." Fundy spat. The ghost floated in the air as he looked down, he was holding some blue dye also known as just "blue".

"W-What can I do to make it up to you?" He asked. Fundy turned around as his ears went back up slightly.

"Well first off!- Visit me more often! Maybe actually have a conversation with me without us arguing or you just going off of those stupid blue dye!" He yelled.
"OH! And maybe actually realize how much I've been through!" Fundy added.

Ghostbur didn't know how to react, he was relying on just good thoughts but this was giving him bad memories which he doesn't get often.

"I didn't... Fundy I don't know what to say to you I-" He got cut off again by Fundy.

"Exactly. If you were a good father, you would know how I would of felt by now." He said. Fundy couldn't contain it and sniffled, he had tears going down his cheek.
He looked down onto the wooden ground.

It went quiet again, all you could hear was Fundy slowly breaking down into tears as Ghostbur just stood there; silent.

He slowly approached Fundy and looked away for a second and then looking back, hugging him tightly.

Somehow, Fundy could feel the hug. Since Ghostbur was well- a ghost, he couldn't physically hug anybody or pick anything up except for certain items such as dye and logs.

Fundy started tearing up more as he cried onto Ghostbur, his glasses slowly fell off of his face as Ghostbur still held him tightly, his white eyes shining like a bright star in the night.

"I'll- I'll always be here Fundy, I'll always be here-" He paused for a moment.

"For you." Ghostbur smiled. Fundy smiled through his tears as the half fox let go of the hug, his tail curling around him.
He picked up his glasses on the floor and cleaned the lenses, putting it back on his face.

"I'm sorry for how I've been acting, I'm sorry I don't give enough attention to you and think everything is fine. I've just been... thinking a lot about my memories." Ghostbur exclaimed. He's been trying to ignore all the bad events happening recently.

"Now, let me get you some more tea and stop your crying, it's hurting my little ghost heart." Ghostbur grinned as Fundy wiped away his tears.

Fundy soon went back to his chair and sat down. Ghostbur cleaned up the mess and got some more tea for Fundy and set two new cups of tea in front of them both.

"Ghostbur?" He asked. Ghostbur's head shot up.

"Yes?"

"I'm sorry."

"Your... sorry? Sorry for what?" Ghostbur asked; puzzled. Fundy sighed.

"I'm sorry for trying to ignore you, I know your just trying to make me happy." He responded.

Ghostbur clenched his yellow sweater by his chest and looked down.

"It's.... alright." Ghostbur let go of his sweater and gave a weak smile. He did feel guilty that his own son was trying to avoid him but he didn't want to worry Fundy anymore then he already was.

Fundy was about to speak until he heard shouting from outside his house.

"Fundy!" Somebody yelled out.

"We need you to come with us! The president and Quackity want to speak with you!" They added.

What now? Fundy thought and got up from the chair.

"I'm sorry Ghostbur but we can chat later, yeah?" He said.

"O-Oh... Alright." Ghostbur responded with; smiling still.

And just like that, Fundy ran off and opened his door, closing it behind him.

"He didn't even finish his tea." Ghostbur sighed.
