Chapter 11 - Let Me

Tommy's POV

The sun was starting to set while Y/n and I were walking to the park. Y/n said, "Tommy, the park." She starting running ahead, but I just kept walking behind her as she sprinted toward the bench. As I was walking behind, she got to the bench and was standing behind it. The way she was facing the sun, I could see half her face. The way the sun made her face glow made her even more beautiful. She stood there admiring the sunset; taking in every detail.

I ran up behind till we were both behind the bench and I was standing behind her and she just said, "woah" "yeah... I know." The sunset was beautiful, it really was, but y/n kept catching my eye. She never took her eyes off the sunset, except to occasionally glance over at me, which made me blush a little bit more then it should have.

At one point, y/n was leaning into me, and I put my arm around her. In response, she just leaned in further, and put her head on my chest.

After a few minutes of watching the sunset while standing, y/n grabbed my hand, which took me by surprise, and pulled me over to sit on the bench.

When we sat on the bench, she never let go of my hand. I didn't either.

"It's beautiful. Isn't it?" I looked over at her, so I was looking at her watch the sunset. "Yeah... it is."

Once I said that, she shifted her focus to me. I looked into her eyes, and didn't say anything.

Her face was tinted pink for blushing, and the sun made her face glow so beautifully. I couldn't help myself.

I slowly and carefully lifted my hand to hold her face. When I touched her face, she didn't move, she just started blushing more. I kept looking from her eyes to her lips, and then back to her eyes. I brought her face closer to mine, I couldn't stop looking from her eyes to her lips.

I wanted to kiss her; I needed to kiss her.

"Y/n. I-"

Y/n's POV

His touch was soft and compassionate. I couldn't stop looking into his bright, blue eyes. He brought my face closer to his. He kept looking from my eyes to my lips.

He wanted to kiss me, and I wanted to kiss him.

"Y/n, I-"

I couldn't wait another second, I leaned toward closing the gap between our faces; connecting our lips. He pulled me closer to him, and deepened the kiss. Our lips moving slowly and softly.

My stomach was flipping, and a thousand things were going through my head. It felt like it was only me and him in the moment; like nothing else mattered.

I had no idea how long the kiss had lasted. I put my hand on his chest, and we both slowly pulled away. I looked up at his eyes and smiled a little bit, "You didn't let me finish. Y/n, I really like you." I let out a little laugh and sarcastically said, "I would have never guessed."

I turn my head to watch what was left of the sunset. Tommy kept his eyes on me for a second before turning his head to watch the rest of the sunset too. When I glance over at Tommy watching the sunset I say, "And I really like you too." I saw him tilt his head down and little bit and smile while watching the ground.

I move closer to him, and put my head on his chest; enjoying the last of the sunset before it gets too dark.

The walk back to our houses was quiet but comfortable. The only light was coming from the moon and streetlights. I would occasionally glance up at him, but eventually, we both made it back to our house's.

"Goodnight Tommy." "Goodnight, y/n." I stood up my toes and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. Under the moonlight, I could see the faint blush that had crept onto his face, and it made me smile a little bit.

I walked into my house, and immediately walked up the stairs, and into my room, hoping my mom or dad didn't see anything. I sat on the edge of my bed.

Holy shit, that just happened.
