Ezreal walked off the rift and sat down on one of the hard benches. After a fight like that, he needed a good rest. He looked around the room. He saw Lux staring at him and he quickly averted his gaze.

 

If only I had the courage to ask her out. Ezreal had a crush on her since the first time they met on the rift. Her face just couldn’t get out of his mind. Ez quickly shook these thoughts off. She was way out of his league. She was a crownguard, the second family in line to the crown of Demacia.Meanwhile, he… he was just a nobody.

 

He awoke from his little daydream and saw Lux approaching him.

 

“Hey Lux” he said.

 

“Hey Ez”

 

“That was some nice spellcasting out their. You saved me so many times.”

 

“No problem.” “Hey Ez, I was… I was kinda wondering.. if you wanted to… like… um..”

 

“Wanted to what?” Ezreal asked hoping he wasn’t showing how much he wanted her to ask what he had always dreamed of.

 

“If you.. wanted to hang out with me this afternoon?”

 

“You mean… like a date” Ez asked.

 

Red started to creep onto Lux’s face. “I guess you could call it that.”

 

“You know. The boy usually asks the girl out to a date.”

 

Lux started feeling tears build up in her eyes. “ Just… just forget I asked” she said before she started to run away. Ezreal grabbed her arm.

 

“Lux! Wait! Lux turned. Ezreal saw her eyes and immediately felt guilty. “I would love to go out with you he said with a warm smile.”

 

The sadness Lux had immediately was dispelled. Her face lit up and she hugged Ezreal. Ezreal started to blush. “If I knew you were going to do this, I woulda said yes right away,” Ez joked. “So, um.. where do you want to go?”

 

“I was thinking we could go to the ( Insert fancy restaurant here).”

“That place never lets me in. They say that I have to be in formal attire.”

 

“That means you have to dress nicely,” Lux explained.

 

“I was already wearing jeans. What more do they want?” Ezreal whined.

 

Lux laughed. “That means they want a suit.”
