"Hey! Where are you going? And- you're taking her with you?" Lisa asked when she bumped into Achy at the stairs. She's carrying Jennie on her back, who got knocked unconscious after the activity.
She looked at the face of the woman that is sleeping peacefully on her shoulders. She smiled and reverted her attention to the woman in front of her. "Yeah, I'm taking her home with me."
Lisa gave her a teasing grin while pointing her index finger at the dhampir's chest. "Hmm... I know what you're trying to do. Go on ahead...have fun, A." She said and patted the dhampir's free shoulder before returning to where her purple-haired friend is.
It was already dawn when Jennie tried to toss and turn from her sleeping position when she opened her eyes and caught a glimpse of the person who is sitting on the hood of the car.
The latter turned to look at her and smiled. The bright peculiar colors of the person's eyes greeted the woman. She took a deep breath before opening the door beside her and stepped out of the vehicle.
"It's cold out here-"
"It's fine... I'm fine." Jennie interrupted the dhampir.
She sat beside Achy and looked up at the sky, then she looked at the person beside her.
"Beautiful isn't it?" Achy asked while looking up at the sky. She raised her hand up as if she's trying to reach the moon above.
"Yes... It's perfect." Jennie whispered while looking intently at the dhampir.
The latter could feel the human's gaze on her. She smiled and put her hand down on her lap. She looked at it and sniggered.
"Is that how you usually look at someone?" Achy asked and shifted her eyes at the woman beside her.
Jennie gulped. She felt the intensity of Achy's stare with those bare peculiar looking eyes. Her father warned her almost everything about the half bloods, except for the fact that just a simple gaze from one them can make your heart race in an unexplainable kind of way.
This wasn't part of the plan. Jennie thought to herself while looking at the dhampir. She had everything planned out already, but she didn't expect herself to feel some type of way whenever she looks at the dhampir.
She shook her head, trying to erase the thought in her mind. This could not be happening.
While she was preoccupied with the thought, she suddenly felt the soft warm fabric wrapping around her. She didn't even notice that the dhampir left her side for a moment to get a blanket from the backseat of her car.
"I don't want you to get sick...or hurt." Achy uttered while securing the thick fabric around the human.
Jennie looked up at her face as if she's studying every inch of it. Jennie, this isn't right. You shouldn't feel this...she killed them remember? Her thoughts kept on going against each other and she's having a hard time controlling them.
Every word that Achy says to her is subconsciously affecting her decisions, her every move...that even after planning everything out with her father, she always finds herself doing the opposite. She should be the one who's leading the dhampir on, not the other way around.
But the grip of the dhampir on her is getting stronger, she's not even sure anymore if she got everything under control or is she the one who is slowly spinning out of control?
They thought that killing Achy would be easier with Khali gone, but that's where they're wrong. Just the thought of killing the dhampir is getting harder for her to handle the more time she spends with the dangerous half blood.
