"Hey hero!"
The dhampir turned around when she heard a familiar voice calling her from behind.
She is in the middle of a parking lot at the local home depot. Achy decided to replace the broken windows of their house that was a result of her older sister's meltdown a few days ago.
The woman looked at the items that Achy is loading in the trunk of her car. "So you're a carpenter now?"
Achy glanced at the items then returned her gaze at the woman in front of her.
"Uh— maybe. I was gonna fix our broken windows 'cause some kids decided to throw a fit and accidentally broke it." The dhampir uttered.
She looked around and she saw the black BMW that is waiting for the woman.
"What brings you here?" Achy asked.
Soojoo looked at the vehicle behind her and smiled at the dhampir.
"My driver is buying some stuff... I don't know. Hey, I have a party going on this evening... I want you to come, everyone will be there." The human uttered.
Achy shook her head. "Uh— sorry I can't go. I got stuff to take care of—"
"Jennie will be there too." Soojoo interjected. "You're friends with her too right?"
Achy remained silent for a minute, giving the invitation a second thought.
"I'll think about it." The dhampir uttered.
Soojoo extended her hand out to Achy. "Phone."
The latter just looked at the palm of the human and returned her confused look at the woman's face. "Huh?"
"I'll give you my number 'cause it looks like you didn't save it when I gave you my calling card." Soojoo uttered and took the device from the dhampir's hand when she slowly took it out of her pocket.
She typed in her number on Achy's phone, saving it before she pressed call on her own number.
"There... I'll send you my address, just in case you decided to go." The human uttered and walked back to the vehicle that is waiting for her.
Achy just looked at the human before she closed the trunk of her car, and circled around to the driver's seat.
The dhampir just finished replacing the broken windows of their house and decided to take a rest on the couch of their living room.
She was spacing out while looking outside the window, subconsciously fiddling with the ring on her hand.
What if she doesn't accept my offer? What am I supposed to do? You can't hurt her Achy... Damn it! I hope I'm wrong but I'm absolutely sure that I'm not, then that means Jennie is not with her real father. That man... I've never seen a vampire that close before.
Those music sheets, I swear I heard that before and the man that supposedly wrote that music doesn't look like that, last time I checked. Damn it Achy! What did you get yourself into? Why does he want us dead anyway? Achy clicked her tongue and shook her head as she tries to analyze everything in her head.
What am I supposed to do with that human? She seems stubborn... I need her to willingly latch on to me, not because of her not so secret agenda but because she really wanted to. Achy pinched the bridge of her nose while contemplating.
If I attack him now, then there's a high chance that Jennie will be caught in the middle of this. I can't risk that. She scratched her head at the thought.
