"Jane! How long does it take you to put on a dress?" Sherlock bellowed from the living room, obviously wanting to get this night over with.
"About as long as it takes you to go to the bathroom in the morning!" I shouted back playfully. I heard his angry footsteps heading toward my room,
"Ha ha very funny, now will you-" He stopped dead in his tracks once he entered the room. I was still struggling to clasp my necklace around my neck. He wouldn't stop staring at me.
"Something on your mind Holmes?" I smirked.
"No.." he composed himself.
"Would you help me?" I whimpered as the clasp became too frustrating for me to handle. He walked up slowly behind me and placed his warm fingers in mine, allowing me to let go.
He clasped it with ease and rested the cold chain onto my skin. Grazing his fingers to my bare shoulders, rubbing his thumbs methodically across them. He bent down to kiss my shoulder, turning me around to meet his gaze.
"You look..." he couldn't find the right word. I smiled and tried to help.
"Nice?" He shook his head,
"Stunning." He pressed his lips to my fore head, instantly making me smile.
He looked breath taking as well. He styled his hair, shaved, is wearing a suit. Absolutely gorgeous.
"You don't look to bad yourself, here." I said handing him a wrapped box. He studied it for the longest time.
"What is this?" He inquired.
"Merry Christmas!-eve." He studied it some more.
"I think the traditional thing to do is to open it..." I teased.
"I thought we agreed not to do gifts for each other." My smile stayed buy my excitement wavered.
"I couldn't help myself." He opened it up and took out the navy blue scarf I got him. He raised an eyebrow at me clearly confused.
"I noticed your old one was getting holes in it so I got you a new one, and it's soft." I explaned. He wrapped it around himself and fitted it right.
"You're right, it is better." He smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Now on to yours." He began rummaging around the room with the scarf still around his neck, looking for my present. I should have known he wouldn't listen to our bargin like I had. The scarf kept getting in the way of what he was trying to do because it wasn't tucked in his coat. It was really starting to frustrate him.
"Bloody scarf!" He then caught himself and turned back to me, "But I love it, I do."
"Ok." I say, giving him a smile. He found my present and brought it back to me for me to open. I tore the paper and opened the box to find a passport. A passport addressed to William Holmes. I glanced up at him in confusion.
"Now I can go back with you." He explained with a sweet smile.
My jaw dropped.
"Oh this is wonderful!" I beamed throwing my arms around him, holding him tight to me. He held me back as tears teased the brim of my eyelids.
"This is perfect Sherlock."
