just to let you know that this is written based on the author's pov
and this story will be a bit longer than the other chapters

while y/n was in her room, lucas did not fail to catch her scent and for the villagers, some were killed as a sacrifice for their family

hoseok however, were fighting lucas's men and his 6 trusted friends helped him out, trying to kill as much of lucas's men and trying to get to lucas but little did they know that lucas, together with one of his trusted men, made their way to y/n, sniffing her scent every now and then as he got mixed up

now you all must be wondering, how on earth will lucas get mixed up with her scent as she is the only human in this entire palace?

that was because before hoseok left the room, he was pecking y/n and somehow tried to cover her scent as much as he could but human scent can be recognized very easily for vampires

❝ i don't need your help now. for now, you will go back and attack those weaklings while i find her myself. ❞

lucas told his trusted man and headed to where his nose told him

after sometime of searching for y/n, he came across a room which y/n's scent here was the strongest

barging the door open to see 2 guards, a maiden and lastly, the person he wanted all along

y/n

y/n saw the door barge open and was greeted by lucas which made her scream in fright and the guards attacked him and amanda grabbed onto y/n and teleported to another part of the palace while the 2 guards were attacking lucas

lucas did not notice that they disappeared until he was done fighting the 2 guards

❝ argh! where did they go! ❞

lucas screamed in frustration and teleported to every single room, trying to find his obsession

as he was teleporting, he caught a whiff of y/n scent and as soon as he teleported, he lost her again

it was like a maze, y/n running and lucas searching

for hoseok, he heard y/n scream and tried to find her but to no avail until he mind-linked amanda, asking where they were and she replied saying that they are teleporting every single place in the palace trying to get y/n to safety

hoseok was relived but still persisted that he will find them and that was what happened and when they both reunited, y/n clutched onto hoseok as she was sobbing in fear

❝ hoseok... i'm scared. what if... he finds us and separates the two of us? i'm scared. ❞

y/n cried on hoseok's shoulder and hoseok's heart clenched seeing his mate so weak and vulnerable

❝ oh ho ho ho! who do we have here! we have, the gorgeous y/n here, this stupid spoiled brat who stole her away from me and lastly, a pathetic maid who tries to protect my gorgeous woman from me. ❞

a voice suddenly said from behind and when we turned around, we saw lucas standing there and had a few men with them
