Lost Brother

When you see the man you smile, it was like christmas morning, you instantly knew that everything was going to be just fine. You knew you were safe and that made you happy. You smiled and listened to the man talk.

"...but not all is lost. For those of you that don't make it, you can take one of these and fall asleep forever, and never wake up.." you bit your lip nervous then his eyes met yours. You smiled and then you spotted Mina standing off to the side. She winked at you and you blushed lightly and bite your lip. After his small speech you started walking to your room, but were called to Mina's office for a small meeting. You head there and were let in, but it wasn't Mina who greeted you on the other side of the door. It was him, your brother, Michael.. Michael Langdon.

"Nice to see you here sis.." he said softly and smiled. Then he sat down and you followed sitting down across from him.

"What are you doing here?" You asked curious and with a small smiled on your face. You were happy to see him, you haven't seen him since two months before the bombs dropped and you were shocked to see him now.

"Well, there is a safe haven where I am going to take a select few with me to keep safe and help restart the human population.."

"Well.. I am assuming that this is my interview to see if I am worthy?" You ask slightly sarcastically.

"No, I am here to tell you that either way, your going with me.." he smirked knowing that, that was the last thing you had expected. You nodded your head and smiled softly.

"But my.. friend.. Ms. Venable.. please can she come.." you say and look into his eyes pleading.

"Your in love aren't you?" He asks and smiles at you "fine but only for you.."

You nod and smile then run off to the library and look through all the books, you finally settle on a book and sit down in one of the low chairs then you hear a cane tapping through the hall ways and you smile softly to yourself. Then you hear the door open and when you look up Venable is standing before you and you bite your lip softly "mm I missed you.. where have you been?"

Venable smiles back at you and sits with you as well. "I have been around.. I wasn't allowed into my office or anything so I have been mainly in my room, but I hear you had your interview first.." she said nervously than you nod quickly and smile big.

"I made it!" You exclaim loudly and giggle "and.. and so did you.." you say not sure how she will react

"What do you mean baby?"

"Well.. I have something to tell you... so uhm.. Micheal.. is my brother..and before you say anything no I didn't know this was going to happen.. or I would have told you, I haven't seen him in years and I thought he was dead honestly" you say worried she won't believe you

"Oh honey, don't worry okay?" She says softly "and good I am glad that we can be together" she smiled and pecked your lips softly and you smile back at her and lay your head on her shoulder "mm can we go lay down?" You ask not sure if you guys could yet or you had to wait

"Yes baby always" she smiled and stood up waiting for you to follow once you did you both walked to her bedroom and got into your night gowns and layed into bed you smiled softly up at her and layed your head on her chest. She ran her fingers through your hair humming softly and strokes your arm "I love you sweet girl" she says softly and kisses your head smiling at you.

For the first time you truly felt loved when you were with Venable, and you felt like someone cared, it was amazing and nothing could replace this feeling ever, with her you would always feel safe, loved and cared for no matter what and that is how you wanted it to be... forever..
