Does time really heal painful wounds?

Momo drops Moon off at her home without saying a word to her. Moon told her she wanted to be alone.

Moon walks into her master bedroom. She then looks around her home, so many normal everyday items reminded her of her late husband.

She realized that she would come home and would never hear her husband's voice ever again. Every moment would be a painful reminder that her husband died alone.

She walks to her bed and lays down on her husband's side of the bed. She grabs the sheets of the bed and hold them against her face.

His scent was strong which made her cry even more. What made her more sad was that she wanted to start a family with him and he was happy about having kids in the house.

Thunder jumps on the bed, she could sense her owner was in extreme pain. She looked around noticed that Kevin isn't around the house, so she started meowing.

Moon heard her meowing, Moon stood and grabbed Thunder and lays down and holds her tightly. Thunder then notice that something happened to Kevin. Thunder stopped meowing and just hugged her owner.

"Kevin is gone..." She says softly.

"I can't move on my baby.... I can't believe they took him out of my arms..."

For the rest of the night, Moon cried herself to sleep. Thunder was right by her side while she was crying. She felt a piece of her heart was ripped out of her chest.

She has never experienced a loss in her entire life. The only time she cried for a loss was when she was 5 years old and her pet goldfish died.

Moon held her husband's pillow tightly against her chest as she sobbed for the rest of the night. Nothing could ever take the pain away from her. It was her pain and her pain only.

Moon knew Kevin more than his family. She knew what his favorite food is, what he likes to do in his free time, and his favorite color is.

Nothing mattered anymore to her. She vowed never to love anyone else so she doesn't experience another loss in her life.

2 painful months later.

"Come on Moon!! Open this door!"

"We've been out here for several minutes!!"

"This girl...."

Moon walks sluggishly to the door and sees her parents at the front door.

"Oh my god! You've really let yourself go!" Her mom says.

"Honey? Are you okay?" Her dad says.

"Momo said we should give you space but I think it time we finally check up on you baby." Her mom says.

Her mom and dad walks in the house and shuts the door.

"When was the last time you cleaned?" Her mom asks.

"I don't know. Probably last week." She says quietly.
