Chapter Summary - Or the one where they meet again.
Seokjin couldn't believe his ears. Ira had been in the building until 30 minutes ago. She'd been here for more than an hour.
She'd been in the same building as him. And he hadn't met her. Hadn't even gotten a glimpse of her.
His Ira.
Well, not his anymore. She'd never been his. But somewhere in his heart of hearts, he entertained the fantasy that one day they could belong to each other. Even though he had been the one to destroy their relationship.
Maybe it was for the better that they hadn't seen each other. He had no idea what he would say to her if he ever saw her. He had no idea whether she would even want to talk to him.

Jin frequently had dreams in which he saw Ira.
Sometimes it was recollections of the time that they had spent together. Sometimes it was fantasies of them still being friends. But mostly, his dreams were of them meeting again and Ira refusing to allow him into her life again. It wasn't rare for him to wake up begging Ira to not go, to not leave him, to give him one chance. Nights like those, he would wake up drenched in sweat, his heart beating at a mad pace, and he wouldn't fall asleep after that. Sometimes his screams would wake Yoongi, who would then hug him and pet him until he fell asleep again.
The boys knew that Ira was Seokjin's childhood friend and that he had some trauma, some unfinished business with her. But they never questioned him about it, never probed deeper, and for that Seokjin was grateful.
They did not know Ira's real name.

Their life continued as usual, with preparations for their upcoming tour and their next album moving at full force.
They performed on the opening night of KCON Mexico, receiving a fresh wave of applause and recognition. In the midst of all the cacophony in their daily life, Jin rarely got time to think about Ira.
But she was always there at the back of his mind. She always had been. And she always would be.

March 23 marked the day of their first WINGS Tour concert, held in New Jersey. They held two more concerts over the next few days.
But the week proved to bring a wave of fear over them as a twitter account started sending death threats specifically targeted towards Jimin.
The boys had always avoided going through the comments sections in detail, as Jimin and Hoseok had a habit of reading the negative ones and beating themselves up over it. That isn't to say that the rest of them didn't fall into the void sometimes.
