A/N : The original fic didn't have much details about the cyber crimes, and didn't really delve much into the mystery. And I'd decided to upload it as such.

Well, change of fucking plans. Guess who added way too many details about the cyber crimes because rereading their already finished fic is the bane of their existence?

Also, we gonna get a little glimpse into Jin's reasons for doing what he did.

Chapter title from the song Zombie by The Cranberries.

"Eomma I know it's a great thing. But I really can't understand what you're saying if you keep crying through it," Seokjin sighed, shaking his head fondly.

That seemed to draw his mother out of her happiness induced emotional waterworks.

"Yah, Kim Seokjin! I give birth to you and this is how you treat me. Can't a mother be happy for her son's success?" She laughed wetly.

He listened to her rant about 'ungrateful sons who don't know how to experience emotions' for the next couple minutes before ending the call with a fond goodbye.

His mind went back to the one aspect of the call which had landed like a thunderbolt on him

His mother had asked about Ira. And he'd drawn a blank. What was he supposed to say?

She's definitely still perfect? She definitely hated him? He definitely thought she wouldn't ever forgive him? He's definitely still in love with her?

In the end he'd just settled on a terse 'she's fine'. He's pretty sure his mother had seen right through his little (and albeit halfhearted) act of pretending to be unaffected. But thankfully, she hadn't pushed it.

His father, as usual, hadn't talked to him. They'd stopped speaking after that fateful phone call a year and a half ago, and had yet reconcile.

If he had his way, then they were never going to.

Growing up, whenever he'd endured his father's taunts about his chosen dream career, he'd always fantasised about making it big and then calling his father to rub it in his face. But after The Phone Call (always capitalised in his head) he'd sworn to never call him on his own. That was the day his father had lost whatever little respect and gratitude Jin still had for him.

But it felt good. To have at least one of his parents' appreciation. His brother had congratulated him too. That had been one awkward call but it had made him happy, which is what mattered in the end.

Now he just had to wait for 5 more months, then he would literally grovel at Ira's feet for her forgiveness. He would. He had to.

Looking at her over the dinner table, Seokjin realised that some people were just made to be loved. Like, you couldn't not love them. Ira was one such person. Everything about her, ranging from her calm and easygoing aura, to her motherly care, to her fun and quirky side just appealed to you. Somehow, she'd always had an eclectic mixture of habits and qualities, and he'd been drawn to her helplessly.
