The Fall of the Zodiac Kingdom

"Now introducing the Princes and Princesses of the zodiac kingdom Carl of Aries, Lyla of Leo, Tara of Sagittarius, Luca of Taurus, Lily of Virgo, Noah of Capricorn, Karly of Gemini, Avery of Aquarius, Opal of Libra, Emette of Cancer, Zeke of Scorpio, and Jax of Pisces."

Each of the twelve siblings took their places at the dining table Opal and Tara both casting glances on who would be the one to start the conversation. Them both coming to the silent conclusion that Opal would start the conversation.

"Lyla I would like to discuss your actions today involving the young boy and-"

"And what his sticky fingers?" Opal dropped her fork in surprise at her sister's harsh words.

"She has always been outspoken but never to this degree" She thought to herself.

"Lyla I really think you should listen to Opal, I agree that you were way out of line today you know Opal always handles these affairs, we have it that way for a reason" Emette said not once bothering to look up at his sister knowing that he would only be met with a glare.

"I understand you guys think I was out of line but I really do think the laws are unfair"

"Do you think that or are Zeke's whispers starting to taint your thoughts?"

Everyone at the table stopped in their tracks to look at Lily, who rarely spoke against her favored sibling. The room grew silent as her and Lyla stared at each other seemingly having a silent battle with each other in their heads.

"Lily, you know you can't win just look away before it gets bad, please" Luca leaned over and whispered in his sisters ear, hoping that his words didn't drift across the table into Lylas open ears.

"That's quite enough sister, we both know she isn't worth this battle" Zeke spoke almost hypnotically, never once looking up from his food in front of him. When he realized his words simply didn't reach her he tried a different approach, with the same hypnotic tone he said "Lyla don't let your pride get in the way, just look away"

With that statement and a final glare sent her sisters' way, Lyla looked away and started to eat again, angrily scraping her teeth on her fork with each bite. With the fight for power now over everyone resumed their meals with caution. Zeke occasionally looking up and sending a smirk in Lily's direction, knowing exactly what he was doing.
