Try as he might, Harry couldn't sleep. It mattered not that he was very tired: exhausted from being soul bonded, from going back in time and from finally meeting his parents. Not to mention they left 1996 when it was night time and it seemed they arrived even later. But he still couldn't sleep. Something was missing - something he didn't have before but know did and he knew he would never be able to sleep without it.
He rolled out of his bed, grumbling to himself and doing his best to not wake the twins, before making his way downstairs. In front of the dying embers of the fire, he could see the sillohuette Ummmm, spelling??? of Ginny. His magic reached for her, and it was then that he knew: he couldn't sleep without Ginny.
He came and sat next to her, staring into the fire.
Couldn't sleep? She asked.
No. He sighed aloud. I don't think I'm able to sleep without you.
Same.
He shuffled closer to her, and placed an arm around her shoulders. She lent into him, making warmth spead through his body. Together, they yawned. Harry chuckled, before grabbing the blanket she's been clever enough to bring down with her and throwing it over both of them.
**********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************The next morning, Hermione and Lily were the first up, being naturally early wakers. As they walked downstairs together, something caught Lily's eye.
"Is that?"
Hermione peered in interest over Lily's shoulder, seeing the form of the sleeping Ginny and Harry on the sofa. Harry was on his back, with Ginny half laying on him and his arm warpped around her waist. Her face was buried in the crook of his neck.
There was a squeeking of steps behind her, and she turned around to see Fred and George with identical mishchevious smiles. Knowing there was no point in trying to stop the, she just rolled her eyes and made her way to the kitchen to help Lily get breakfast ready, as Harry and James (the usual cookers of each group) were still asleep.
They had been cooking in companionable silence, with the occasional question or talking, for an hour or so when they heard someone cry out and Ginny cast her famous bat bogey hex. However, when she came into the kitchen, Hermione couldn't see anything wrong with her.
"The bond repelled it," She answered Hermione's unasked questions. "It seems that when we are touching there is a sort of force around us and the twins couldn't prank us."
"That must be useful," They heard Lily say, before she stopped dead in her tracks. "Watch the sasuages Hermione!" She shouted before taking off up the stairs. James Potter came in about then, whilst Harry walked into the kitchen from the other door. They were both yawning and rubbing sleep from their eyes, and their hair stuck up in many directions. At roughly the same age, they could be twins. It shocked the two girls in the kitchen, but they soon got over it and employed the Potter men to cook.

Just as they were all laying down the plates for breakfast, Lily came thundering down the stairs again, a book in her hand.
"I've found it!" She announced triuphantly, and thrust it at Ginny. "You can keep it; you might need it. And I've read it many times anyway."
Ginny slowly turned the book over to see the title. SOUL BONDS AND WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THEM, BY CATHRYN KILCHESTY.
