Maya's POV
I turned to my side and looked at my digital clock which read 2:34 A.M. It's been two hours and I can't stop crying. I sat up and pulled the covers off of me. I'm pretty sure my eyes were extremely puffy by now and that my face was crimson red.
I can't believe I lost my job. It was all Zayn's fault. I bet he bribed James to fire me otherwise I wouldn't have been fired.
Where the hell am I supposed to get another job? How am I going to pay for all this rent? Food? Transportation? University fees?
My head hurt just thinking about all this. A part of me wanted to go to Zayn and apologize but my ego wouldn't let me.
After all, he doesn't seem like the guy who's interested in apologies. He's just hell bent on ruining me.
I laid down and put the covers over me. I have a class tomorrow morning and I need to get some rest.
If I don't have a job, I'll just focus on my university work.

After class finished, I sent out many resume's to various restaurants, grocery stores and clothing stores. I hope someone would accept me.
I can't survive without a job.
I unlocked the door to my apartment and closed it. I started walking towards my window and then felt a crunching nose under my foot.
I looked down to seeing a white envelope underneath my foot. How did this get here?
I picked up the envelope and sat down on a chair that I kept near my window. I felt the cool breeze brush against my skin.
I opened the envelope which contained a white piece of paper folded into fours. I opened it and found an address. I scanned the paper and then on the bottom it said:
Time's running out. Accept the deal while it's still available to you. - Z. Malik
Zayn's POV
Two weeks. It's been two weeks since I sent that letter to her and she still hasn't come.
I got up and rubbed the back of my neck in frustration. I opened the drawer of my desk and took out a cigar and lighter. I light the cigar and sat back in my chair, resting my feet on my desk.
I took a long drag of the cigar as I started once again, dreaming of how beautiful Maya would look on my desk and even better on my bed.
But she was being so stubborn. She's missing out on a great opportunity and she doesn't even realize it.
I picked up my phone and began to dial when I heard a knock at the door.
"Come in!" I yelled and put the phone back on my desk.
Aiden peeped his head in and then came inside, closing the door behind him. He had a file in his hands, like always.
"Ahh, just the man I wanted to see." I said, taking another drag of my cigar.
"Your clients from Italy. All the information you requested in here." He said and placed it on my desk.
"Good...now Aiden. I need you to call up the owner of Maya's building. It's time we teach her another lesson." I said with a smirk on my face.
Patience is what I need, she'll come to me. I know she will.
