Falling For The Defenceless

You only get to do it once

Kurt woke up with a headache. Although that was expected when you cry yourself to sleep. Everyone was still asleep. Not that they should be, classes started in half an hour but the warblers were lazy buggars. Kurt got up and went into the bathroom, hoping to get in and out of the shower before having to wake everyone up. It was then he properly looked at himself and it wasnt even him he saw.

His eyes were sunken in his head and he looked like he got punched in the face dozens of times. His skincare routine had completly gone out of the window. For anyone else his face would still look perfect but he could tell his skin was getting worse. At this point he didnt even care. He just got in the shower, took some advil, shouted at the boys to wake up and went back to bed.

Kurt normally blocks out everything that goes on when he doesnt need to know it but for some reason he listened to all the music and chatter going round the room. It was Davids turn to control the music this morning so he was playing songs not many people know. a few lines  in this song caught Kurts attention though.

When the dawn came up you felt so inspired to do it again
But it turns out you only get to do it once

This stuck in Kurts mind for the next hour and a half and he actually listened to it. He got his ass up and cleaned. The boys had trashed the room in his absence so naturally there was a lot to do.

Somehow he managed to get everything, minus the vacuuming, done by dinner.  He didn't really want to go down but he kind of had to because he hadn't eaten in days and really needed food. Luckily the boys read his mind.

Blaine walked in first. They were all a bit hesitant thinking Kurt was still asleep in bed and really upset. What they walked in on was definitely not what they expected. Kurt was dancing round the room with his headphones in blasting Madonna like theres no tomorrow.

of course they started to record it. It was just too good to let go. Wes cleared his throat getting Kurts attention.

" You know what" Kurt said " I leave you alone for a week and you adopt a family of rats, please never go into this world on your own"

and thats when they knew, They got their kurt back.
