I understand, but they don't really need to be paired together.
In all honesty, these two work better as sisters than love interest. It's just something about their relationship that makes them better as siblings and not lovers.
The two do care for one another, but I'm pretty sure Kinkajou views Moon as an older sister and Moon views Kinkajou as a younger sister.
