Your eyes flutter open for the first time in forever and a gasp for air leaves your lips.

Recognizing the ceiling immediately, you immediately sit up from the bed to see Seonghwa already approaching you with another cup of that horrendous medicine he gave you last time, an expression of relief written all over his face. Not believing what you're seeing, you pinch yourself only to let out a small yelp of pain.

"I'm alive?" you ask yourself, touching your body before grabbing the medicine from the surgeon's hand and gulping it down to confirm your suspicion. The familiar taste of flowers and bitterness enters your body and a shiver travels down your spine.

"Surprisingly, yes." Seonghwa watches you in amusement as your eyes widen with acknowledgement. "I don't know how, but yesterday, one of my crew members entered the sickbay with you in their arms."

Someone rescued you? Who could that have possibly be?

One things for sure, it's definitely not the captain.

"How long have I been out?" you question.

Seonghwa taps his chin with his finger, trying to recall the day that you have been brought in. "I believe two or three days."

An embarrassed chuckle leaves your lips when you hear that answer. "I'm sorry for burdening you, all I have been doing is getting myself in trouble and you have to deal with it."

At that statement, the blond pirate frantically shakes his head. "Don't apologize, it's my job after all. Anyone on this ship is under my care."

As if on cue, the door suddenly bursts open to reveal three pirates at the entrance, two of them decorated with bruises and scratches. Groans of pain echo in the sickbay as the injured take a rest on the vacant bed, and the third pirate peers stands at the doorway with a bright smile. A scarf of fur is leisurely wrapped around his neck and a checkered coat is worn by him. His towering height frightens you a little, causing you to cower behind your blanket.

The black-haired crew member notices your reaction, but he simply giggles at your action before focusing on the surgeon. "Seonghwa, these two got into a fight just now over something dumb and now have to be treated."

Seonghwa looks over at the pair and let's out a sigh of annoyance, pinching his nose bridge before responding to the male in front of him. "I'm already low on supplies and I have to use more of them now? Okay, I'll see if I can do something about them."

The pirate at the entrance then looks over to you, although you're still hiding under the piece of fabric. "Miss, would you like to take a walk with me? It must be tiring being in the sickbay and Seonghwa will be busy tending wounds for a while."

Hearing the offer causes you to slowly remove the blanket from covering yourself, slightly interested to go outside. You take a good look at the make, vacillating if you shall trust him or not.

"Don't worry," he reassures you. "I'm not going to throw you overboard like the captain. Most of us are nice, I promise."

You look at Seonghwa, who gives you a nod of approval, before returning your gaze to the other pirate.

He's not wrong with that, because all of that Seonghwa has been treating you is with kindness. In addition, the man himself doesn't seem to be a scary person, despite his height. Maybe you shall leave for a bit to get some fresh air and let the surgeon do his job without any distractions.

With that, you slowly step out of the bed and make your way toward the black-haired pirate with a slightly relaxed posture. You bid Seonghwa farewell and the two of you depart from the sickbay, walking down the hallway and climbing some stairs to make it outside.
