Aaron slammed the car door shut after the two elder vampires. She still had mixed emotions about being here but knew she had to be for Bella, because why else would she be here?
"Bella? We have a surprise for you," Esme sung as the trio walked into the house. There was some shuffling before Bella came into Aarons's view.
The two of them stared at one another before Bella ran over and grabbed her sister for a hug. She didn't need to be careful since the two of them were almost the same now.
"I missed you so much," she breathed as Aaron wrapped her arms around her. The sister didn't say anything back, just held her - that is until Aaron hit her rapidly on the shoulder.
Bella pulled away. "I leave for all of five minutes and you go and get pregnant?" Aaron deadpanned making Bella laugh. It was full of life, something Aaron never heard before.
"It just happened. Do you want to meet her?" Bella asked holding her hand out for Aaron to take. She took it in a heartbeat and allowed her to take her further into the house.
Aaron knew Jasper and Alice were gone. Carlisle told her in the car that they decided to leave once they found out there was trouble brewing. It was cowardly and pissed Aaron off.
"Renesmee," Bella sang as they arrived in the living room. "She doesn't talk much, but her gift she can show you what she wants to say."
The child came into view with Edward. She waved slightly before hiding behind her father. Aaron walked over to her and knelt down.
"Hello, I'm your Aunt Aaron. I'm excited to meet you."
Everyone in the room was surprised to hear how soft her voice was. Then again, when Aaron wanted to she can be a better person.
Renesmee looked up at Edward and that's when Aaron saw Jacob hovering. She let out a low growl signaling that he had nothing to worry about. The girl wouldn't hesitate to rip his throat out if he even dares to try something.
"Hello."
The girl snapped her gaze back to the child who was now reaching her hand out. Aaron moved her face towards it and was hit with a variety of memories. It was odd considering they didn't have any, but it was an interesting experience.
The first group was of her and Bella before there was just black. That's when she was hit with a bunch of words. The one that stuck out the most made her heart hurt.
"Rose, I miss her so much. There is so much that I want to say. I know it was partly my fault, but I really wish Aaron was here."
A small tear slipped down her face as Renesmee pulled away. She quickly wiped it away before standing up.
"So, what are we going to do to save this child that I'm going to corrupt?" Aaron questioned making Bella laugh. Aaron was only being half-serious.
"We need witnesses. Which is part of the reason why we brought you here. The rest of us are going to get friends from around the world while you, Bella, and Edward welcome them," Esme stated as her husband ran around to get everything they needed.
Aaron nodded. "Understandable. I'll try to help as much as I can. I don't know much."
Bella put her hand on her shoulder. "You could reach out to the wolves. They aren't our best friends considering," she said before gesturing to her daughter who was now playing the piano.
Things have changed so much since she had left. It was almost like she had stepped into a new world. It was a bit unnerving.
"I don't know if I'll be of much help, but I'll try. I haven't talked to anyone since leaving," she reminded the group. They grimaced but didn't say anything.
Soon, Carlisle and Esme had left with Rosalie and Emmett following close behind them. That left Jacob, Aaron, Edward, and Bella alone in the house. Aaron, not wanting to be in the uncomfortable house any longer, decided that she was going to leave.
"I'm going to go see Dad. Does he know?" she questioned gesturing to her new body.
"Jacob told him about him and he knows there's something weird with me but that's about it. He knows I'm alive, if that helps," Bella said earning a sigh.
Aaron shot a glare to Jacob who glared right back. "Can I borrow a car?"
Edward nodded. "We have a bike if that will make you more comfortable," he stated as the two of them walked towards the garage. "I know it seems bad that Alice and Jasper left together, but -"
"Please, don't. I don't want to talk about him. When it comes to him, my mind is still so confused," she honestly told him.
Instead of answering, he just handed her the keys. She peeled out of the house and instantly filled her lungs with fresh air. The house still had a million memories for her and it wasn't fun.
She twisted through the familiar streets, the bike so much better than hers. She wondered how much it would cost for her to convince them to allow her to have it.
The familiar house came into view as well as the police cruiser. She knew there was going to be yelling since it had been a while since contacting him.
Just as she was walking up the walkway, the door opened to reveal Charlie Swan - who didn't see her right away. He tossed the keys in his hand but stopped in mid-step when his gaze landed on her.
"Hi," she weakly said not ready for the rant that was going to happen. Charlie just looked at her and she swore that there were tears brimming in his eyes.
Instead of yelling, he stepped forward and pulled her into a tight hug. Soft sobs wracked Charlie's body as they held one another on the front lawn.
It hurt Aaron, but she did it to herself. Now she had to reap the consequences.
He led her back into the house and made a quick phone call, canceling whatever plans he had. They talked for the rest of the night, but he not once yelled.
And that hurt Aaron the most.
