You stood at the entrance to Hogwarts admiring the scenery.

"Sorry. Am I a bit late?" You whipped around to face Cedric.

"Oh no. I got here early. It's a beautiful day."

"That it is. Shall we go?" He tilted his head and you nodded. The way there was pleasant and filled with conversation.

"Hogsmeade is beautiful." You glanced around in awe.

"Oh yeah. This is your first time isn't it. I'm glad I could bring you." You entered The Three Broomsticks and sat down. You ordered some Butter Beer and some food. After talking and eating the two of you left and walked around.

"How have you been getting on. I heard you've moved dorms."

"Yeah I did. Its nice. I can study in my own room without being bothered. And the painting are really nice. They make sure no one goes in without me or my consent." He nods.

"Is there a reason they moved you? Were you having trouble with your house mates?" You released a breathless laugh.

"No. Not yet at least." There was a long pause before you spoke again.

"Can I tell you something?" He furrowed his brow.

"Of course you can. Always." You jestured to the trunk of a tree and you both sat.

"I understand if you don't want to be my friend after this. You're the first student I've told. Only Lupin and Dumbledore know." He shifted more towards you.

"Know what?" You took a deep breath.

"I moved rooms because I can't go home. I have no home to go to. My mother she....kicked me out."

"Why did she do that?"

"Well...she's...strict? No thats not the word. Anyway she shares view with you-know-who's supporters. No muggle mixing, no house mixing, and in her mind...no same sex coupling. Of any kind. I came out to her. And she kicked me out." He nodded and placed a hand on your arm.

"What did you come out as?"

"This is the first time I've said it like this but...I'm gay." He smiled.

"I'm proud of you. I know stuff like that is hard to talk about. I'm happy you trusted me."

"So you'll still be my friend?" He scoffed.

"Of course I will. I'm not the type of person to abandon you just because of who you have feelings for." Your eyes misted and you leaned on his shoulder. He put an arm around you and leaned his head on yours.

"Thank you. Really."

"Of course."

Class with Hagrid seemed interesting. Especially with the monster book. According to Hagrid you had to stroke the spine? You gently petted the book and it stopped moving.

"Careful it might fall in love with you being that gentle." Blaize nudged your arm. You rolled your eyes.

"As if. But I bet it'd be a better partner then you." The two of you teased eachother back and forth until Hagrid presented the Hippogriff Buckbeak. He called for volunteers and the entire group stepped back. Except Harry. He was pulled forward and did as Hagrid told him. He was able to pet the beautiful creature then Hagrid placed him on top of it and he went soaring through the air. After a while Hagrid whistled and the two came back down. As you were about to make a joke to Blaize you saw Draco push forward. He did everything similar to what Harry did. Except he insulted the creature. And as we were told, Buckbeak was not happy. He clawed Draco's arm. You and Blaize gasped and watched as Hagrid took him to the infirmary. The two of you followed shortly behind. He continued to groan and moan about the pain.

"Oh come on Draco its not that bad. You'll be fine soon." You sighed but eventually had to return to other classes.

You sat in the back of the classroom waiting for Lupin to come. When the door opened you sat up but saw Snape instead of your favorite teacher. Your brows furrowed. With a flick of his wand the windows slammed shut one by one.

"Turn to page 394." Confused you did as told. Slowly flipping through the pages. Snape started walking to the back before he was stopped.

"Excuse me sir. Where is professor Lupin?" Harry spoke the question that had been swimming in your mind.

"Thats not really your concern is it Potter?" He continued on his way but procedded to speak.

"Suffice it to say that your professor finds himself incapable of teaching at the present time. Turn to page 394." He tapped the projector and it came a light.

"Werewolves?" You heard Ron say from across the room. Hermione perked up and spun around facing the professor.

"But sir we've just begun learning about red caps and hinkipunks. We're not meant to start nocturnal creatures for weeks!" He glared down at her.

"Quiet." Ron leaned over and whispered to Harry though you couldn't hear what was said. The lesson continued with even more questions swimming in your mind.

Cedric had invited you to the Quidditch match between his house and Griffindor. You sat in the stands umbrella in hand as the rain pelted down on you. Barely able to keep up with everything happening the only thing you saw was Harry bolt into the clouds and come falling down a few moments later. This paired with the lightning that kept striking the other players you came to the conclusion that this was a very dangerous game. They had taken Harry to the infirmary and you ran up to Cedric.

"Are you ok? You didn't tell me Quidditch was this dangerous." He shrugged and laughed.

"Well at least we won. Though it was on a technicality." You shook your head.

"You are irrevocably insane Cedric."
