It was a week after your meeting with Lupin and you felt like a heavy weight had been lifted. You were packing your room as your new permanent one was ready. It wasn't in the Slytherin hall but because it was Dumbledore who had assigned you, you assumed it was ok. You weren't sure what the two Slytherin boys would think. You hadn't told them you were going to a new room. They didn't even know you stayed over holidays. You silently prayed that they would be elsewhere and not see you with your bags. Your prayers were not answered however because the two in question were in the commons. Right in the path to the door. They immediately saw you enter and came up to you.

"What's with the bags? You leaving? Did you get called home?" Blaize asked a million questions while Draco just stood there with furrowed brows.

"No. I'm not leaving. I'm being moved to a new room."

"What?! Why are they moving you out of the Slytherin quarters?" You hesitated but thought to yourself. 'I have to tell them. At least this much.'

"Well we have to move dorms every year when we leave to make room for the new students. I don't leave so they're giving me a permanent room." They both looked confused but it was Draco who spoke thia time.

"What do you mean you don't leave? Don't you see your family on holidays and over the summer?" You looked away.

"No I don't. I actually haven't since I've been here. I don't have a home to go back to. I'm not welcome. I was sent here and forgotten." Their faces dropped. Blaize placed a hand on your arm.

"Is that why you came to my house for a week that summer last year?" Draco looked over at the mention.

"Why didn't I know about any of this? You never said anything. Never asked."

"I know how your father is. I figured he would say no. So I never asked. I just house hopped until school was back on. During the holidays I just stayed here. Its nice. Really quiet. I could get a lot of studying done." Draco clenched his jaw.

"You still should have told me." He turned around and stormed off before either of you could do anything.

"He'll come around. He's just upset you didn't trust him. He must really care to show even that much. I mean I'm upset but I understand. I know how strong you are. You don't like to rely on other people. But I'm happy you told us now. Were you really just gonna vanish like that?" He crossed his arms and you sighed.

"Yes and no. I was going to tell you after I moved. So you couldn't fuss about it. Its not a big deal. You guys are my family. I don't need anything else." He sighed.

"Fine. I forgive you. But you have to show me this new place. I might even help you unpack while I'm there." He smirked.

"Wow thank you so much. You're such a gentlemen. If I was a woman I would swoon." The two of you laughed and you went to your new room. It was an unused part of the dorms. Close to the middle of all four house areas. Must be extra space incase they run out. They gave you the prefect room. Which was the biggest. Blaize didn't help at all. Just sat and watched as you cleaned and unpacked. The common area, or living room as you decided it would be, was cozy. There was a fireplace and two couches. They were a pale grey. As was most everything else. No house designated colors. You thought it was boring so you hung up some Slytherin garb. Everything else seemed similar to the other dorms. The only thing was no one could get in without you along. The paintings made sure of that. All of them knew at this point that this would be your new home. And they were determined to keep it as safe as possible. Even the Professors couldn't get in without permission. After a while you sent Blaize back. It was nearing curfew and you didn't want him to get in trouble. You cleaned up more, added more of your own touch and soon enough it seemed like your own little apartment. There was a bathroom, the common room, your room, and all the dorms. You blocked off the dorm area just to make it look better just covered the entrance with a shelf to keep out any cold wind. After a couple days it was exactly how you wanted it. It was like a really house now. You still hadn't spoken to Draco. Though Blaize insisted he was just brooding like usual. You made your way to the dining hall for dinner and sat at the Slytherin table like usual. Most of them knew you had a new room but never questioned why, though most didn't care. You ate in silence until Draco sat in front of you.

"I'd like to see your new room. I have to make sure its good enough for a Slytherin." You chuckled to yourself.

"Of course. There's time after dinner if you wanted to see it. Its not too far from all the quarters. Almost in the middle actually. So you shouldn't miss curfew." He nodded once and continued to eat. After eating you showed him the place. Gave him a full tour.

"Well its not perfect but its ok I guess. The green looks good."
