Helpful, kind and determined.

That's what people generally think of Hairo Kineshi.

He was always hard on everyone and especially himself.

Admirable if you're being honest. He was considered to be the best student and overall a nice guy.

He'd disagree.

——

Guilt is no stranger to Kineshi.

He was the reason his parents split up, he barely helps his classmates, he's simply average.

Well, someone disagreed with that.

Saiki Kusuo.

He was an interesting fellow for sure.

He was silent yet you could hear him clearly and you knew what he was saying was important.

He was bad at PE yet he was extremely strong when defending his friends.

He was rude and cold yet he could be thoughtful and kind when he warmed up to you.

He thought Kineshi was also special. He though Kineshi was enough.

Kineshi would've definitely disagreed had it been someone else.

But you simply don't disagree with Saiki Kusuo.

You don't.

But Kineshi disagreed with him.

He disagreed that Saiki shouldn't have..killed himself.

He was enough for once.

But clearly not enough for Saiki.

He's never enough.

He should be enough. He should be enough...

Saiki said so.

But he wasn't-

But-

He wasn't enough, period.

——

He remembers the day.

Saiki Kusuo's funeral.

Two weeks after his...death.

They held his funeral.

It was a small but crowded one.

A green haired child was crying while being carried by his mother.

Nendou, Saiko and Kaidou were no where to be found.

Kuboyasu was dead silent.

Kurumi and Kuniharu Saiki were crying.

Teruhashi was looking dead.

Kineshi barely paid them any mind.

He was too focused on Saiki.

Saiki's corpse.

Holy shit.

It hit him like a truck.

Saiki is dead.

Saiki Kusuo is dead.

Dead.

Dead.

Dead.

Dead.

——

"Hey, Hairo, what're you doing after work?"

"I'm just gonna go get some coffee jelly and pay someone a visit".

"Cool, just make sure to pass the papers to Fonsi"

"Will do boss!"

——

You guessed it.

Hairo Kineshi gave up on his dreams.

He decided to settle in the office workplace.

It's cozy and not the worst.

Honestly, Kineshi doubts he'd even enjoy being an athlete.

But that's what Saiki would've wanted.

Right?

Kineshi Hairo truly is never enough.

——

"That'll be six hundred and fourth yen sir", the cashier said.

"Here".

"Thank you have a nice day!"

"You too!"

——

He walked over to the grave.

And placed the coffee jelly there.

Maybe that'll be enough for Saiki to forgive him for not visiting in awhile.

But Kineshi Hairo disagrees.
