Oikawa's POV
I was nervous to go home with Iwa-Chan.. he told me his parents hated werewolves. And would even hunt us. I didn't care if they tried to hunt me, but I don't want to put Yui in the way of any type of danger. Ever. As we walked in the village, I startled to see a werewolf I knew. He was chained and muzzled. He was growling nonstop. He looked ready to kill.."Hey, you alright?" Iwa-Chan said when he noticed I had stopped walking and was staring.
"I know him.."
"That's the one who tried to attack me."
"He's never attacked anyone. He wouldn't even hurt a rabbit."
"Well... Not anymore. Come on, it's getting cold." Iwa-Chan said, putting an arm around me and ushering me off. I held Yui's hand as we walked away, but I gave one last glance to the chained werewolf. What was happening??
We reached Iwa-chan's home. I huffed, picking Yui up nervously. Iwa-chan looked at me and scratched the back of his head.
"Hey, how about this. We get you two some cloaks that will cover your ears and tails."
"Can we..?"
"Yeah. Come on, we'll see what's at the markets." He said, leading us to the markets. Yui and I got some disapproving stares, but with what was going on.. I couldn't blame any of them. Iwa-chan paid for two cloaks and gave them to Yui and I. I put mine on, making sure the hood was over my ears before doing the same to my daughter.
I laughed slightly because it was kind of clear she had werewolf ears since the fabric of the cloak had two little spiked peaks. I pulled the hood off her head and kissed her cheek.
"You're going to have to keep your ears flattened."
"Whyyyyy..!"
"Because your ears can be seen if you don't."
"But it's uncomfy to do it for a long time." Yui complained. I don't blame her, it did take some conscious effort to keep my ears laid back enough but it was that or risk being in danger. My little one did as I asked before I pulled the hood back over her head. She was now a little grumpy but it made me feel better about her safety.
Iwa-chan took us back to his home, and as soon he opened the door, I saw his mother and father. His mother looked a bit sickly and was sitting on the couch in front of the fireplace while his father was putting some more wood into the pit.
"Hajime, there you are... Who is this?" His mom asked, glancing at me and Yui.
"Oh, they're.. travelers who got lost in the weather. So. I'm letting them stay here." Iwa-chan said. His dad looked a bit disapproving.
"We don't need anymore mouths to feed."
"Dad, they're staying." Iwa-chan said firmly. His dad still didn't look happy but said nothing more. He made sure the fire was still nice and hot before walking off. Iwa-chan walked off as well as his mom patted the spot next to her on the couch. I awkwardly walked over and sat next to her, Yui cuddled in my lap.
"I'm glad Hajime came across you both.. It'd be terrible if you two got caught in another terrible snow out in that cold."
"I'm glad too.."
"Why don't you take your cloaks off? The fire is plenty warm, you two must be getting hot in those things."
"Oh, no we're okay. A little chilled from the snow. Right?" I said, glancing at Yui who nodded. Iwa-chan's mom nodded and glanced back at the fire. I noticed Yui letting her ears perk a little bit, so while the woman was looking away, I patted my daughter's head to silently remind her.
"May I know your names?" The woman asked, looking back at me with a smile.
"I'm Oikawa. This is my daughter, Yui."
"Aw.. How sweet... How did Hajime come across you two?"
"We were in the woods. And he saved me."
"Sounds like my son. Where were you two traveling?"
"Oh... We were just, exploring. Seeing the world."
"That's nice.. my son has talked about doing that. But he stays here to take care of me and his father." She said with a small, soft smile. I nodded, smiling slightly as well when Iwa-chan walked back. He sat down next to me, putting an arm around me a bit naturally.
I noticed his mom give us a curious look but I was too tired to say anything. So I let myself lean into Iwa-chan's side. I nuzzled my face into his side with a smile. Yui was just cuddling up to me as I started to drift off. Only staying awake long enough for Iwa-chan to walk me and Yui to his room for bed.
Iwaizumi's POV
I sighed, making sure Oikawa and Yui were comfortable before leaving the room and walking back to where my mom was. I sat back down, looking at the fire with a sigh.
"So. Do you like that boy?" My mom asked with a faint smile.
"What?"
"You put your arm around him."
"...Oh. Uh, it was just to keep him and the girl warm."
"I saw the way you were looking at Oikawa."
"..Mom..." I said, my mom laughing faintly. I helped her to her feet and supported her on her way back to her room. She sat down on the bed, my father helping my mom to get ready for bed.
"Hajime, put the fire out will you?"
"Yes dad. You both sleep well." I said, leaving my parents' room. I put the fire out so our house wouldn't burn down in the middle of the night. Once I was sure that there was no way the fire would start again, I went to my room. There was little to no room left on the bed, so I decided I could just sleep on the couch or floor again.
I readjusted the blanket over Oikawa and Yui before turning to go.
"Iwa-chan..?"
"Hm?"
"Stay.. cuddle." Oikawa said half asleep. I smiled slightly, sighing and walking over. He scooted over as much as he could, giving me just enough room to lay down. More room was provided when Oikawa moved Yui on top of me and he put his head on my chest. Soon, he was right back to sleep.
"Huh... do I like you?" I mumbled to myself before shrugging it off and letting myself fall asleep as well. Keeping the two werewolves close to me safely.
