Izuku woke up that morning feeling refreshed. He had spent the previous nights studying up on quirks that he knew from past research. All the other students hoping to enroll in UA were listed in his books. He mostly guessed the information, but observing the soon to be heroes allowed him access to more detail. It was of course, all thanks to his quirk. At least one of them. His quirk 'Cryptic Analysis' allowed a full detailed description of the quirk, body figure, strengths, even weaknesses. There of course was a draw back, hence the notebooks. Once viewing the information, he had to write it down in a span of time or he would lose the facts and never be able to read them again. It was a one time use on each individual.

"Oi, Izuku! Hurry up nerd!" The sound of Bakugou's shouting drew a smile as Izuku rolled off his mattress, his fingers lifting the stack of notebooks before hiding them in his bag. Slinging the strap around his shoulder, Izuku placed his feet in his shoes before hurrying down the stairs. He had been so rushed that he hadn't noticed the shoelaces until it was too late. His foot caught the string and down he went. Lucky for him, Bakugou was observant and noticed the approaching disaster. "Watch what you're doing dummy. You could have got seriously injured!"

"Sorry... I was so excited for today I wasn't thinking straight!" Bakugou chuckled lightly before aiding Izuku in standing straight. He bent down, hands tying the laces before he rose once more. Izuku gave an appreciative smile before they both noticed the light footsteps beside them.

"Izu... don't forget your breakfast! You too young man!" Bakugou nodded toward Inko before grabbing the two pieces of toast. Izuku smirked before noticing the approaching mess. Without hesitation he opened his mouth and bit down, holding onto it as Bakugou waved toward Inko.

"See you tonight Auntie." Izuku's mother smiled gracefully before turning away, Bakugou snatching his friends arm before dragging him out the door.

The trip to the school was a rough one. Izuku had been explaining new facts he had found the previous days when someone had snatched his bag. Whether they thought money was inside or not, the sudden loss of his information was worrying. In the wrong hands, that information was critical and could become a problem. Bakugou had been the first to chase after the thief, followed by Izuku. It took almost three blocks before someone finally understood the problem at hand. To both teens surprise, they noticed the thief get close lined. The sound of skull hitting the cement caused Izuku to flinch slightly.

Out of the two, Izuku was the first to step forward. He reached for the bag only to find thin, yet damaged fingers holding the bag gently. The stranger kept at least one off, leading Izuku to understand it was quirk related. Normally he would be all over them seeking information or even using his quirk, but the hood and dark clothing left him to hold back his curiosity. It was obvious they weren't willing to share and wouldn't take kindly to others prying into their secrets.

"This yours?" The voice was rough, cracking at some words. Izuku found himself remaining silent as he nodded, hand outstretched. The stranger noticed before placing the bag in the teens grip. He gave a slight bow before trying to leave, Izuku finally opening his mouth to speak.

"Izuku Midoriya. I really appreciate the help sir!" The words froze the stranger as they glanced toward the teen from the corner of their vision. There was a brief smile on their face, though nothing close to Izuku's wide one.

"No problem. Take care of your stuff, got it?" Izuku chuckled before nodding. He wanted to ask the stranger his name, but when Bakugou approached, he shifted his gaze. By the time he finally looked back, his 'hero' had left. It only caused his curiosity to grow.

"Come on Izuku. We need to get to the Entrance Exams." There was a slight nod as a hand pulled on him, dragging him down the street. Even so, Izuku found his head turning to glance back. Something about the stranger mystified him and he wasn't sure why. Maybe it was the secrets he held. Or the posture and confidence that he wore like a coat. Either way, the stranger was a top interest to Izuku.

So, hope you enjoyed the first chapter. As a note, the chapters will not be super long for story purpose. I want the chapters detailed and able to draw my reader in, so I want to do the chapters more spread out. Most of my stories make it to about 10 chapters, but I hope this one to carry on for quite some time! Any way, please leave your thoughts and see you all next chapter! ^_^
