Y/N's POV - First Person
Ruby and I were riding on a large hoverbike, with a few huntsmen behind us. We could see our destination before us, marked by the corpse of an ancient being: a Titan. The Landsuther Mines stretched below the Titan, sheltered from the wind by a massive stone door that stood in a large mountain face, and had recently been opened.
Y/N: *over comms* Guys, position yourselves outside, we will head in alone. Do not, by any means, follow us in.
Ruby, who now had her new red eye, put her arms around my waist whilst we went down a steep hill. I don't know who she could have felt, judging she had just gouged out her eye. Our company was comprised of Weiss and Blake, since Nora still had to recover a bit more in order to go back into action. They trailed behind us, Weiss riding a snowy boarbatusk, whilst Blake was on her own, smaller hoverbike.
While passing the Titan's chest, I felt something. It was a familiar sensation, like the feeling of a hug from your mother, an inviting feeling... But it felt off. I shook this feeling off when we reached the giant, frosted stone door.
Since it was already open, we only assumed that Salem was here first. We were right. After walking down some stairs, we reached a platform where Salem was standing, looking at some tapestries on the wall. She seemed rather interested in the tapestry, which depicted an origin of humanity.
Y/N: So, Salem...
Salem: What do you see in this tapestry?
Ruby: Humanity... With other races, like the Faunus...
Y/N: And the Pillar Men. Fleeing from the Titan. They exited through a portal?
Salem: Terminus. It's what it says in the runes pointing to the portal. It's the birthplace of Humans, Faunus, Pillar Men... I would like to see what it's like.
Ruby: To conquer?
Salem: Not to conquer or destroy. To thrive. Ozma has been planning to bring back the God of Darkness for a while. And if that happens, you will all be destroyed... Well... Except for myself and the Pillar Men.
Y/N: And getting to Terminus may be our only chance, if one is to understand you.
Salem: Yes. I still despise Ozpin and his Huntsmen and want them annihilated, and I also want to secure the relics, but I know when something won't work. It took me a long time to learn, but I know.
Y/N: How do we get there then?
Salem: A Pillar Gate. Your people made gates that could cross worlds. We will also need a silver eye, and something of incredible power.
Ruby: So, what would you do if we helped?
Salem: Rule. Rule humanity.
Y/N: And if we don't?
Salem: I will destroy and enslave.
Ruby: Then let's have a truce. If we get what you need, we'll find a gate.
Y/N (to Ruby): I think that grimm pool-water is wearing off.
Salem: It is. I only realised recently that in order for my dream of a perfect world to be achieved, we must leave behind the old. We must burn Remnant to the ground.
Y/N: How many people will come to Terminus? We will not be able to bring everyone.
Salem: Sixty civilians from each kingdom. Thirty human, thirty Faunus. 15 people of each gender, from each race.
Y/N: What about my people?
Salem: How many of you are there?
Y/N: Three.
