Chapter 22

No one's POV

A few days had past as it was a Saturday and Harry sat in his room looking at his Mask when he heard a knock on the door.

He put his mask in his pocket and went to the door opened the door to reveal Malfoy who had no one with him and instead of a Pureblood look of arrogance he was sad.

"Kaneki can I come in please..." Malfoy asked him and Harrys one eye widened a bit as he never heard Malfoy say please or be this sad.

Harry moved out of the way to let Malfoy in as Draco walked in and looked at Harry who closed the door.

"What is it Malfoy?" Harry asked with his arms crossed.

"I wanted to apologize...for everything from the first day to now I only acted that way because my father forces me too I didn't even want to marry Greengrass." Malfoy said and this time Harry was genuinely surprised.

"Malfoy sit down." Harry said and Malfoy sat down on the end Harry's bed while Harry stood in place.

"Now please start from the beginning." Harry asked and Malfoy told him of how his father forced him to keep an act of arrogance and superiority.

Harry sat and listened and handed Malfoy a tissue to wipe his tears.

"I-I haven't even spoken to my Mum at all everytime I want to send a letter, I just don't know what to say I've probably disappointed her too much." Malfoy said and Harry moved next to Malfoy.

"You know Malfoy something I've learnt is that a parent's love for there child is unconditional no matter what they've done...I'm sure your mother is more sad for you than disappointed." Harry said and Malfoy looked at him.

"How would you know?" Malfoy asked him Harry gave him a rare smile.

"Because my adoptive mother helped me figure that out now I'm not the only one you should apologize too." Harry said as he stood up and Malfoy followed him nodding.

"I know I must apologize to Greengrass and Davis and my mum I've been a horrid son to her." Malfoy said and Harry nodded opening the door for him.

Together Harry and Malfoy walked to Daphne and her friends who were sitting in the common room.

"Daphne." Harry said and Daphne turned to him until she saw Malfoy making her grab her wand as she had an icey glare but Harry stopped her.

"Wait Daphne, Malfoy has something to say." Harry said and Malfoy nodded and inhaled.

"Greengrass I'm sorry for everything I've said and done to you and your friends I didn't even want the betrothal contract it was my father who did I know what I'm saying sounds like a lie but I swear on my magic and life it's the truth so mote it be." Malfoy said and the sound of thunder was heard outside and they waited.

Nothing happened and Malfoy was still standing and he took out his wand and sparks flew out of it.

Daphne lowered her wand but still kept an icey look on his face.

"Fine I believe you but you must earn my forgiveness." Daphne said as Harry walked to her and took her hand.

"Thank you now I must get going now." Malfoy said as he left.

"Harry can we trust him?" Daphne asked him while Harry gave her cheek a kiss making her blush a bit.

"I can't tell you that now only time can tell." Harry said as he sat down with her.

Harry remembered what Sirius told him about showing girls affection and pulled Daphne onto his lap and wrapped his arm around her waist.

Daphne blushed deep red at what Harry had done while everyone else was silent.

"My my my I knew you were sweethearts." Tracy said teasingly that even Harry had a small tinge of pink at what he was doing.

"H-Harry what are you doing?" Daphne asked him.

"I'm making sure you feel loved by me Daph." Harry said and leaned into her back.

Daphne grumbled something but made no moves to get off.

"Kaneki!" A Seventh year Slytherin screamed at Harry who turned and looked at him.

"Everyone has been calling you the so called One-eyed king of Slytherin well I challenge you for the title of King here in the common room at eight tonight if you don't come you'll be considered a coward." The Seventh year said with an arrogant smile and left.

Harry looked at his friends as he held Daphne.

"Why did I get challenged Davis?" Harry asked her.

"Since people started calling you king some boys have gotten jealous and want the title and you defeating a troll didn't help matters or you simply reattaching your arm at Halloween." Tracy said and Harry nodded.

"Well if he wants a duel he'll get one I've wanted to try some spells out anyway." Harry said but Daphne turned to him.

"Harry you may not use those curses on any student at Hogwarts." Daphne said with an icey glare but Harry shook his head.

"No Daphne not those spells other ones I've learnt from the textbooks." Harry said and Daphne nodded.

"That better be true Harry." Daphne said but Harry nodded.

"I'd never lie to you Daphne." Harry said and Daphne visibly relaxed.

Tracy and Blaise however were confused at what spells she was talking about.

Soon came time for them to leave for supper.

Around Slytherins table everyone was talking excitedly about the duel.

Jessica went to her brother to ask what was happening.

"Harry what's going on here?" Jessica asked and Harry shrugged.

"A seventh year challenged me to a duel for the position of King of Slytherin." Harry said and Jessica looked confused.

"Wait King of Slytherin what's that?" Jessica asked him and Tracy explained to her what it was and she nodded understanding.

"Jessica by the way I never did ask why you were in the bathroom to begin with on Halloween." Harry said and Jessica looked down.

"It was...Ron." Jessica said and Harry stood up.

The whole of Slytherin table was quiet as Harry stood up glaring at Gryffindor with pure hatred evident in his eye.

"Weasley..." Harry growled as he walked to Gryffindor's table.

Just when Harry was about attack Ron he was stopped when someone grabbed his arm.

Harry turned and saw Kyle holding his arm shaking his head.

"He's not worth it." Kyle said and Harry sighed and nodded.

Together they both went to Slytherins table.

"Why did you stop me?" Harry asked Kyle.

"Because I didn't want you to get in trouble." Kyle said and Harry nodded.

"Thank you then." Harry said and Kyle nodded.
