People often say that their parents were the ones who influenced them the most throughout their childhood. That is obvious, but not all. To me, there was a stranger who changed my perception just by telling his old story.

In fact, I can be a good child in my family and an exemplary student with teachers. But with a shy personality, to my friends I'm so unfriendly. So I was usually alone in class until my senior year of middle school. That time, I was a fan of a music group and then saw an interview about the members's life in school. One member shared how shy he was in the past, which surprised me because he is currently the most active and has a lot of confidence in communicating with others. His private interview lasted more than half a 15 minutes as he talked about how he gradually opened up to his friends and became bolder day by day. I was impressed with how he surpassed himself and watched that video over and over again.

As my belief is transmitted through each story, I gradually want to integrate more with my friends. When I got stuck, I still didn't give up but watched that video again to keep me motivated, and in less than two years, I became a sociable girl in class. Now I have a trusted best friend, a caring group of friends, and I have the confidence to face strangers. Just like that, only one old story of the predecessor changed me. I am really grateful that I was a fan of my idol and thankful for what he shared to improve my negative personality.
