I remember that day was my 16th birthday. I went out with my friends in the morning, then went home to spend time together with my family. There were many gifts given to me, but my most impression was the gift my mother gave me. A smartphone. I was surprised and happy without knowing it would make a lot of impact in my life.

There have been many times when I go home and complain to my mother that my friends also have a smart smartphone to communicate and study. And she actually bought me one for my birthday. The first few weeks I was really obese at using my phone to exchange studies or relax a little after working hard. But slowly over time, I can't resist the social networks and games online, so my study time decreased. By the time I received my academic transcripts, I was startled to realize how distracted I had been in study and received lower results. I was so disappointed. My mother loves me, but it doesn't mean she will cover my flaws. I showed my result, along with my smartphone. My mother just looked at my academic transcripts and kept silent. Then she said, "You are grown up, I believe you can manage your time reasonably. Just keep it, and prove to me that my belief is right." I was surprised, and more than that is my fulfilling determination.

Up to now, I still remember that sentence of my mother. I wanted to have faith from my mother, and I had to persevere in the temptation to avoid getting bogged down. I learn that anything in the world has two sides and let it affect negatively or positively that depend on how I choose.
