Tony had been awake since 6 AM, another anxiety inducing nightmare had woken him up. Once he made sure Pepper was still asleep beside him he made is his way to his lab downstairs. There wasn't anything he really had to work on so he opted on just tinkering with whatever he had. Once he made it to his desk he stopped.

He picked up the small picture frame sitting on the desk and once again he felt like his world was crumbling around him, its was going to be one of those days again. He sat down, picture frame in hand and analyzed it.

The picture was of him, Pepper, their son and Rhodey. Rhodey was sitting on the couch holding the baby while Pepper and Tony watched with smiles on their faces. They all haven't smiled like that for years.

There's not a day goes by where Tony doesn't think about that day where he walked into the nursery and his own kid was gone. No where to be seen. Even after years of searching there was nothing. His kid was no where to be seen, there were no leads, nothing. Tony never gave up on searching though, neither did the rest of his family.

But there were still days where everything was hard and everything made him think about his kid.

Tony put the picture frame down and looked at another one near his computer this time it was just a picture of his son standing there and smiling. On the picture fram the name 'Peter' was carved into it.

Before he could even put the picture frame down and begin to work F.R.I.D.A.Y spoke.
"Sir, Nick Fury is calling, he says it's urgent should I answer or decline?"

Tony sighed and stood up "Decline"

A hologram of fury stood in front of Tony, he looked pissed. Tony groaned and looked to the ceiling as if F.R.I.D.A.Y was really up there. "Thanks Fri."

And Tony could have sworn he heard some sass in her tone when she spoke "You're welcome sir."

"Stark."

Tony rolled his eyes before turning to face the hologram of Fury "why hello Mr. Fury" Tony smirked when Fury frowned with annoyed look on his face.

"Listen, this is serious-"

"Everything is serious with you" Tony crossed his arms and leaned against his desk while he watched the hologram.

Fury rolled his eye and sighed "Stark. Will you shut it and let me speak."

Tony raised his hands in surrender "Sorry, sorry. Go ahead"

"There’s news of another Hydra base near the outskirts of New York, near Massachusetts. I need you to go down there and investigate, you'll be with some other agents."

This time it was Tonys turn to be annoyed "why do I have to do it? What about...Natasha?"

"Busy."

"Rogers?"

"Also busy"

"...thor?"

"Off world, listen Stark, I wouldn't have asked you if I specifically didn't need you. So go down there, investigate and report back to me. The other agents will meet you at the compound. You have 2 hours to get there."

Tony saluted Fury which earned him another eye roll "yes sir" and with that the call ended and Tony fell into his chair with a sigh.

"Shall I start your car sir?" F.R.I.D.A.Y asked very aware that Tony did not wanna go.

"Yeah, thank you Fri."

Tony had made it to the compound, his suit already there, he was now in the quinjet with a bunch of other agents he didn't know, they all sat in silence till they arrived.

Once they got there they piled out of the quinjet and were given orders. Tony was to fly around outside and look for any suspicious behavior and of course everything was going to be suspicious, they're at a hydra base. Tony did as he was told ready to leave and just tinker in his lab and forget about today, but of course everything had to go wrong.

The people inside were alerted of their arrival and decide to shoot at them, they decided to retreat but Tony had to fight back, there were too many hydra agents and their weapons were pretty advanced, he was shot with whatever crazy tech they got their hands one and was pushed back so far and hard his suit malfunctioned and he flew very far from the base, he wouldn't know how far because he was knocked out in the process. Next thing he knows is that he's bleeding from his side, his suit is broken, he's laying in the snow and he's pretty sure he has a concussion.

All Tony could see was snow, more snow, and a lot more snow. In the far distance he saw a cabin surrounded by trees oh thank God. With any strength left in him Tony walked, more like limped, his way to the cabin, he barely made it past the gate before he collapsed near some trees near the back door of the cabin. The last thing Tony saw was the white snow falling and the tree branches above him and he blacked out.
