George POV:

That was uh, strange. I always remember Jacob being a bit creepy, but I took no notice of it before. How does he remember that? I could hardly remember that. I turn my head to look at him once more as I walk away. Why is he still watching me? Surely he would've already walked away by now. Right? I shake it off, thinking maybe he was just waiting for someone.

As I walk into the recording studio, I'm met with a strong coffee smell and a faint sound of drums playing. I smile to myself before making my way over to the noise. Opening the door, there stands Ty and Phoenix messing around with their instruments. But instead, they were playing with each others instead of their own. Smiling fondly at my two band mates, I walk over to the couch and sit down. They haven't noticed me yet so I decide to speak up. "Hey idiots! I got here like two minutes ago and you guys haven't even noticed me yet" I exclaim, pretending to be mad. "Oh no we definitely noticed" Tyler replies. Phoenix nods at Ty then looks at me "Yeah we noticed George we just don't care" Phoenix teases. I roll my eyes playfully at the two "Fine, I guess I'll just leave then" I say, shrugging then standing up and begin to walk towards the door.

We normally play around like this with each other, it will take them about 5 seconds to give in. "George, come back we miss you so much already. You're the reason we earn money, we need you" Phoenix whines. I chuckle then walk back over to the couch, resting my hands on my knees. "Yeah yeah, I know I'm so swag, I'm the coolest in the band, no need to remind me" I say, pulling out my phone from my back pocket. "Whatever floats your boat, but we all know you're lying to yourself. I am the coolest, most talented, hottest, sexy-" Ty gets cut short when our manager walks into the room.

"Ah George! You're here! How was your dad?" She asks. The atmosphere in the room shifts. I sigh in response, leaning my head in the hands. "Eh, it was okay I guess. Not really the best thing knowing your dad could die any minute, you know?" I say awkwardly. I mentally facepalm at my completely failed attempt at making a joke. "You gotta stay positive man! He's gonna get through this, it's gonna turn out fine in the end" Phoenix says, placing his hand on my shoulder and giving it a small squeeze. I nod and give him a small smile. I wish I could believe him, I really do. But I know my dads death will eventually come. There is nothing that could prevent it, nothing we could do to help saves my dads life.

The awkward tension is still present in the room.  We sit there in silence hoping something will happen to ease the atmosphere. Luckily, my phone starts ringing. We all jump at the sudden noise. I glance at my phone and notice the ID caller. Clay. I smile softly and look up to my manager, Karis. "Can I take this quick?" I say, already standing up. She nods then pulls out some paperwork.

As I close the door, I accept the call, pulling the phone up to my ear. "George!" Clay yells out. "Clay!" I answer. I hear him chuckle over the phone and I join in. After around 15 seconds of laughing with each other, we calm down with only small giggles. "So what did you want Clay?" I say, leaning against the wall behind me. "Well, I just got home like a couple minutes ago and-" He cuts himself off with a small 'achoo'. "Ugh, am I really coming down with a fever?" He asks himself. "Oh no we can't be having that" I tease, grinning. I hear some shuffling over the phone then a quiet beep. "I just took my temperature, it says- 38.4!? Wow okay, guess I do have a fever" Clay says, sighing. I think for a moment "Ah! Well your favourite soup is chicken, yeah? I can stop by the store and get the ingredients for it then get the bus back to yours and make it for you" I ask sheepishly. "But then you'll get sick. And you cant get sick because of practice and-" I cut him off "Clay, let me do this. You've helped me so much, let me help you for once" I say, not caring if he rejects my offer for the second time because I will just ignore him anyways.

"Fine~" He drags out, before I can say anything he cuts in. "But! If you do get sick, you can't blame it on me okay?" He asks. I smile fondly at how stupid he is. "Yes sure, whatever idiot. I gotta get back to the band so I'll see you soon okay? Bye Clay" I say, getting ready to hang up on him. "Bye Georgie~, see you soon" He responds. I end the call and glance down at the picture on my homescreen. It's of me and Clay on my birthday. We were baking a cake and one thing lead to another and we ended up getting a bit messy with frosting in both of our hair and egg smeared down our faces. Clay has the biggest grin on his face while looking at me with his hand reached up to smudge flour on the side of my head, while I'm using my arms to push him away but with the same huge smile plastered on my face.

I laugh at the memory. Thats definitely a favourite of mine. Glancing at the time, I decide I've been out here long enough and head back inside. Once I enter the same room, all heads turn to me. "Um, what's going on?" I ask, skeptical. Karis speaks up first. "I just received a phone call, from a supposedly 'unknown number' asking for your details. Of course I didn't give it to them, but it seemed really strange. They asked for your personal phone number, personal email  and then your address. They sounded like a young man and said that they were delivering a package to your house. I hung up after explaining to them that I couldn't just give out your details. It was just strange" Karis says, raising her eyebrows. Thats creepy to say the least. "Oh uh, okay well I'm sure it's not anything to worry about?" I question, anxiety starting to kick in. "George, this could be serious. They were very persistent, constantly asking. If they were that desperate, it could eventually lead to something bad. But we never know. This is a first for us, since only recently have you guy been getting more noticed. Let's just watch out for anything suspicious, okay? Keep an eye out, someone could potentially be stalking you George. We have to take this seriously".

I gulp, I feel my breath quicken and my throat tighten. Karis notices and reaches out to grab my arm. She knows about my panic attacks. They have been briefly mentioned to Ty and Phoenix, but they don't know that they are a frequent thing. She pulls me off to the side, so only I can hear. "Hey George, panicking will only make the situation worse. It might not be as bad as I'm making it out to seem, but its always better to think the worse so you can mentally prepare for it" She says reassuringly. Some part of me knows that this isn't just about my potential 'stalker'. Is she trying to say that I should be prepared for the worse with my father?

Our conversation gets cut short when Tyler speaks up. "Hey Karis? I gotta head out, I'm meeting with Holly" He says. Holly is Tylers girlfriend of two years. I've met her once and she's seems nice and Tyler obviously seems to really like her. "And George, be careful dude. There are a lot of creeps out there so just watch out, just in case" He says, walking over, giving me a pat on the back. "Will do Ty, I better go too. Sorry I only came for the last half an hour or so. Just wanted to pop in and see if the show has changed at all" I say, putting my phone back in my pocket. "Okay, see you boys. Tomorrow is a important practice, so make sure you're here on time!" Karis says enthusiastically.

We all say our goodbyes and leave the building. Now, where is the closest supermarket from here? You would expect me to know these things after living here for quite some time. But I don't. I normally just rely on the small corner shop on my road for my groceries. Deciding to just walk in one direction and hopefully finding somewhere to get chicken soup ingredients from. When Clay gets sick, he gets really sick. So this has to be perfect for him. He's looked after me so much these past couple of days, more than usual. I feel pathetic not being able to give much back, since he won't accept any money from me. So this is the least I could do for him, even though I wish I could do more. What else could I do? Random ideas run through my mind of Clays favourite things to do. One thought sticks out from the rest. Deciding on doing that, I rush into the store, buying extra blankets and a few pillows as well as the ingredients for his soup.
