after three days, it was finally the 19th. and you couldn't reply to kiyoko, at all.

how the tables really have turned. while getting ready for the christmas party, you decided that in all seriousness, you'd confess to her.

it made you nervous at the thought that what if she isn't interested in you, and the lyrics she sent are only just for shits and giggles?

but you know she'd never do that. if she wasn't interested, she would tell you.

you cursed at yourself. 'y/n, stop it with these thoughts.'

you sighed. at last, you were ready.

of course, you arrived at the venue (which was in the gym) earlier than the others to organize more things, but it was kinda off since kuroo wasn't here. he was supposed to be helping with the decorations.

...and also kenma. where the hell is he?

sighing, you helped coach naoi and the others before it was time. a few minutes later, some teams from the other schools have arrived, but your own team hasn't. maybe coach nekomata knows?

"coach nekomata!" you called out, kind of yelling because of the loud music. when he nodded, acknowledging you, you asked, "have you seen the boys yet?"

"oh, i think they're... at the back of the gym! i'm not sure, though." he said and you bowed, thanking him. you walked away and sighed, thinking of what they're doing right now. oh well.

you greeted the other newcomers, and outside you could see karasuno's coach, keishin ukai. wait—

you saw a raven-haired male yelling at an orange-haired male. kageyama and hinata?

oh shit. they're here.

"is that l/n-san— L/N-SANNN!!!" hinata ran towards you and waved.

"hello, go ahead and enter." you smiled at them, and they smiled back but it was... suspicious? you haven't even seen kiyoko yet.

"y/n-senpai!" yachi grinned nervously. "you should probably go to the back of the gym! u-uh... yeah!"

you were confused but you laughed it off. "alright then."

so you did, expecting kuroo and the others but no. kiyoko was there instead, standing in front of the backdoor of the gym.

she looked so ethereal. her dress fitted perfectly on her, and her makeup wasn't too much but she still looked gorgeous.

"k-kiyoko..." you trailed off. the two of you stood there awkwardly. "um..."

"i like you." you simply told her, "i know we're best friends, but i'm serious about what i said in my text—"

"me too."

your eyes widened, "huh?"

"i feel the same way, y/n." she looked at you, smiling heartily. "i want to ruin our friendship, too, and become lovers instead."

you were speechless, her words made your cheeks heat up. she then took a step forward, connecting her lips to yours. you slowly kissed back, smiling as well. when both of you pulled away, she pointed upwards.

oh... kuroo and the other boys suddenly showed up, beaming. "we actually put the mistletoe there and told shimizu to come at the back of the gym."

"that long?!" you exclaimed. "i was looking for you guys for an hour!"

"well, blame this titan." yaku glared at lev. "sure, he's tall to place the mistletoe but ended up breaking it."

"we also had to buy more food for the party." fukunaga added.

all of you laughed, then while lev defended himself, kiyoko whispered, "y/n, take my hand."

you nodded, taking her hand before thanking the boys for helping you out.

"have fun, you two. not too much, though." kenma calmly said.

"y/n, don't forget my gift!" you could hear kuroo yelling out as you walked away with kiyoko, making you laugh.

once you two entered the gym, she sighed lightly. "i-i have something for you... i hope you like it." she gave you a box, and you slowly opened it.

it was a simple silver necklace with your initials. you realized that you had a similar gift for her as well. "kiyoko... thank you! i have something for you as well."

when she opened it, it was also a silver necklace as well with her initials. she was surprised, but smiled nonetheless. "thank you, now we're matching."

"yes, we do." you hugged her happily, and then you heard two boys sobbing. you both looked in that direction and saw... tanaka and nishinoya?

"ryuu? let's support their relationship!"

"yes, noya! if they're happy, we're happy!"

kiyoko hugged you back as you both giggled at the two, you're definitely going to give kuroo a christmas gift. not just him, but the other boys as well.
