Hyorin was spotted wearing a big diamond ring, that could pass as a engagement ring. Fans started making speculations that her fiancé is in famous boy groups. The scandal started when someone in Twitter made a thread, piling all the "evidence" that Hyorin is getting married. A lot of people believed this because the "evidences" were rather strong ones. She started getting messages, letters saying that she's too young to get married and that she was a whore, slut, hoe, you name it. Hyorin disproved all this allegations in a live, explaining the ring.

A female ex staff of Bighit, who wished to stay anonymous, twitted on Twitter about an experience working with Hyorin. The staff said that Hyorin once and I quote, "She almost hit me with the hairbrush I was using because I accidently brushed it too hard." Big Hit made a statement saying that Hyorin was having a very bad day and she regretted deeply. Her promotions had stopped for like 3 months before officially going back. Many had defended her saying that they would've done the same if they were having a bad day and something made you even more upset or annoyed. To this day, people still milk this.

Hyorin making the 'okay' hand gesture seemed to fire up conspiracy theories. People seemed to believe that she's indicating or showing signs of her being part of it as whaasothers believe. Hyorin has not said something about it because its just a silly thing to say and saying you're not in the Illuminati might just make people believe you're hiding something.
