Shrimpy { Tsukishima x reader }

worries

i rolled over and saw that the time on my alarm clock read 4:30 I have a practice that started at 5:00 so I decided to get up and eat. I sat up and looked in the mirror across my room and saw my light brown hair scattered everywhere. 'wow I really got to get that under control' I thought to myself as I got up and put on my clothes for practice.

I walked down the stairs and almost tripped and fell face-first into the kitchen island. I quickly ate and grabbed my school bag and lunch out of the fridge. "have fun at your first practice" my sister said as I headed out the door. 

"hey, Tsukushima waits up, can I walk with you?" I shouted at the tall giraffe that was walking in front of me. he stopped and turned around and took off his headphones once again. "yeah sure I don't care." he said as he sulked further down the street.

I walked side by side with him until he turned and started to walk down a random street." where are you going the school is this way bean pole" you said as you caught up to him." we have to pick up Yamaguchi, come on shrimpy hurry up."

as we were walking I started to fall considerably more behind and kept trying to keep up as Tsukishima walked far ahead of me. "oh my god hurry up shrimpy do I really have to do this" he said."wait to do wha-" you were interrupted by Tsukishima picking you up in a piggyback ride. "wow hey NO put me down" "no you were walking to slow and we are gonna be late if you didn't hurry up so I had to help you".

as you finally walked up to Yamaguchi's house he walked out the door and stood there looking at you both. "what happened what are you guys doing?" he said as you started to walk again.       " well we were gonna be late to pick you up because y/n was to slow so I picked her up so we could move faster and not be late."

"can I put you down now?" Tsukishima said trying to get you to let go but you just latched around his neck even harder "no I like the view up here is nice and airy and I can see all the way to Tokyo" I said which made Yamaguchi laugh. We all walked to the school and when we finally got to the gates "can I put you down now y/n?" he said in a whining voice which was a surprise.

"I didn't know you talked in any other voice than monotone that's petty cool," I said sliding off his back and walking into the school. "come on we have to get to class we are going to be late." "Sorry guys I have to go the other way, but let's meet up for lunch," Yamaguchi said and he waved and then turned to walk to his classroom.

"come on we have to go," I said grabbing Tsukishimas's hand and dragging him to your class. I walked in holding Tsukishima's hand and everyone turned to look at us. Tsukishima let go of your hand once everyone saw and blushed walking back to his set. I had to grab my textbook and pencil out of my bag before we started writing notes.

' uh, I hate this class so much like why do we need to learn about the anatomy of the human body it's so stupid ' I thought as the teacher talked in front of the class. I sat there zoning out as the teacher talked.

" miss L/N can you tell me the names of the things that carry blood away from the heart and to the rest of the body  " "Uhm yeah sure" 'shit I have no idea what it is' "is it the vessels that carry it away" "yes it is, miss L/N good job". ' holy crap how in the world did I just guess that right!' I thought as I went back to drawing and doodling on my paper.

All I can think about is volleyball practice, and how my new goal is to get a spike past the great Nishinoya. all of my thoughts of volleyball were interrupted by the bell ringing. I quickly shoved my books in my bag and walked towards the door to find Yamaguchi waiting for me and Tsuki.

"Hey where do you guys wanna go for lunch?" he asks. "maybe we could go on the roof?" I suggested. "I don't care where we go," an angry-sounding Tsukki said." ok let's go," Yamaguchi said grabbing you and Tsuki up the stairs to the roof.

I opened the door and felt the cold breeze flow through my long brown hair. "this is amazing we should come up here more often" I said as I twirled around the rooftop. "be careful I don't need anyone getting hurt up here" Tsukishima said as he walked over and sat on the floor.

"I never knew it could be so beautiful up here, you can see everything even all the kids on the ground look like ants. OMG Tsuki this must be what it's like for you" I said laughing and Yamaguchi joined in. "don't call me that"

I sat down next to the laughing Yamaguchi and Tsukishima to eat my lunch. " wow y/n your lunch looks delicious." thanks Yamaguchi my sister made it, she's an amazing cook she always makes meals that are healthy because apparently  "I need to eat healthy foods" if I want to make it to a national level volleyball one day.

"well she's not wrong," Tsukishima said as I got up off the ground and wiped off the dirt that was on my skirt. "true," I said and walked over to the end of the building and watched all the students walk around like little ants. I hoisted myself up and started to walk on the ledge around the building looking around the schoolyard. 

I walked along the edge of the building until I felt a pair of muscular arms wrap around my torso. "wha-a " I yelled as I got pulled off the ledge. " you can't walk on the top of the ledge y/n you could have fallen and that's like 3 stories down!" Tsukishima yelled at me and set me down on the ground "you scared the shit out of me don't do that again" he said hugging you.

you looked at Yamaguchi over Tsukishimas shoulder and you both were thinking the same thing 'when did Tsuki get a soft side.'
