With a loud crash, Fury hit the ground and was certain it set off an explosion this time. There was no need to stumble, Fury always landed on her feet. Taking in her surroundings, she realized she was back on Earth again and nothing had changed, the devastation from the Apocalypse still remained with the wrecked structures and the many crimson spikes from Hell rising up from the broken roads.

This time things were different for Fury since her last visit to the Third kingdom, she had originally been sent by the Charred Council to capture the Seven Deadly Sins, a task that Fury saw as a matter of personal gain rather than for the Balance. She remembered seeing War when she was given the assignment, chained up like a helpless dog and jeered at his condition. All Fury wanted, was to lead the Horsemen, believing it was rightfully hers, even though it seemed that her brother Death had that honor instead.

Fury was the only female member of the Four Horsemen and was often characterized as the most unpredictable, often aggressive like War, but at a different level, and even some demons and other otherworldly beings thought she was also dumb. Fury hated those misconceptions, but she proved herself to be deadly to them all with her trusted whip Scorn. She was seen beautiful at first to those who never met her with her long flowing hair in the color of wine, deep diamond eyes much like War's, and the silver armor quick to move in with a crimson eye orb at the chest. She was agile and fast, and the whip was enough to tie up a demon in its place, a hard tug following that could tear it to pieces.

Fury reluctantly agreed to capture the Sins only if she was given what she wanted, and the Council accepted, but never gave any hint that she would get the so-called leader position she coveted, so she set out at the task she was given without further demand. Fury found her assignment to not be difficult as the Council had given her a special talisman to track where each of the Sins had relocated, most of them she recalled, had made homes of their own in Earth as she hunted them down one by one.

Sloth had taken up residue in the ruined subway tunnels where many insect creatures laid their eggs, Avarice had his own little trove in an abandoned museum, and Lust took to the harbors where the ships now floated on green goo that Fury could only make out as the cause of the corrupted angels. It was there on that journey where Fury realized that what she truly desired was not what she made it out to be. Since then, she hoped to find herself a new purpose.

The rest of the Sins after that proved a challenge with Gluttony making his home in Earth's submerged caverns along with his followers, while Wrath took great pleasure in an arena built by demons on the outskirts of the destroyed cities, which had now become a barren wasteland. The demons of Hell had transformed that area below the arena into a massive mining operation. Fury didn't care what they were digging for, and was only interested in finding Wrath.

But, Fury had felt her own share of the pain, her first encounter with Wrath led her to discover her beloved steed Rampage had been slaughtered right before her eyes, the loss gave her grief and rage and was the only thing that drove her forward. Had her horse truly been killed? Fury wished there was a way to bring him back and even finally capturing Wrath did not satisfy her other than claiming revenge. Even though she remembered thinking that the Horsemen were more than just their horses, the ordeal left Fury scarred, like if it really was set up by the Council like everything else they had done, they had made her feel no different than War motionless in the Abyss.

Pride and Envy were the last of her targets, and the latter had revealed to be under her nose the entire time. Their encounter led Fury to realize that she could no longer trust the Council and War was innocent all along. Now knowing her true purpose, Fury made a choice to destroy the talisman and the Council's rage nearly was unleashed until they saw the other weapon she had acquired from an ally and feared it. Fury then returned to Earth to help the Makers take the surviving humans to safety in the Forge Lands as the Destroyer's army arrived, but not before telling Ulthane, one of the Makers to help her brother War, should they cross paths.
