I sighed, kararating ko lamang ng Bolinao kung saan naganap ang misyon nina Scarlet laban kay Fabio. Wade told me that it was a success, wala na si Fabio, but the sad this is, Cherry, Scarlet's mom also died in the incident.
Nang makita ko Scarlet ay tila ba hinang hina itong lumapit sa sasakyan ko. Pagpasok niya ay nakita ko kung gaano napuno ng kalungkutan at hinagpis ang muka niya.
"Oh my god."
I said, puno ng luhang tumingin ito saakin bahagyang nanlambot ako roon saka mahigpit siyang niyakap na nagpahagulgol sakaniya.
"It's my fault...I-If only I didn't let her go...If only I tightened my grip more..."
She cried a lot the whole trip, and all I did is to try my best to comfort her, alam kong napakasakit ng pinagdaraanan niya ngayon. Her Biological mom died before her eyes, and now Cherry? ramdam ko ang pagkadurog ng puso niya sa bawat hagulgol at patak ng luha niya.
"Are you sure, you don't want me to call a doctor?"
I said on a worried tone, walang lakas na umiling si Rhia saakin.
"I can take care of myself, thank you."
She smiled even though I can see in her eyes how much she's in pain right now.
"Please Miss...I-I just want to be alone."
I just sighed and nodded my head, hinatid ko siya sakaniyang kwarto at ibinigay ang mga kakailanganin niya. She probably needs some space right now and I respect it.
"Can't sleep?"
Wade asked on the other line.
"hmm.."
I hummed, it's 3 in the morning, dalawang oras mula noong matapos ako sa mga binabasang proposals at inaayos na mga papeles.
Kahit pa pagod na ay nagawa ko pading maghilamos at magsipilyo dahil hindi ako kumportableng hindi iyon ginagawa bago matulog.
"How is she?"
Tanong niya, naririto na ako ngayon sa kwarto ko. It's Rhia's third day in my house, binawalan ko muna si Wade na bisitahin ako dahil baka magkaroon pa ng panic attack si Rhia.
Well Wade is part of the mission, plus Rhia wants to be alone right now.
"Nagkukulong padin sa kwarto at saka tulala."
Sambit ko saka bumuntong hininga.
"I hate that I couldn't do anything for her to ease her pain."
I said while staring at the ceiling.
"You're doing your best Lilia, it just that a wound that deep would take time to heal. Right now she just needs space, but atleast you're there for her to help her in the process."
He said making me nod my head.
"I'm worried, yesterday she became too emotional, she's out of breath. Buti nalang at napakalma ko siya kahit papaano."
Pagkukwento ko.
"No need to be worried, We know how strong she is, alam kong malalampasan niya rin iyan. Plus you're there for her, malaking bagay na iyon."
Saad niya.
"I'm praying she could recover soon, enough to face her family. Hinahanap na siya ng pamilya niya, ni Chase. Kung meron mang pinaka makakatulong sakaniya ngayon, yun ang pamilya niya."
Sambit ko saka napahilot nalamang saaking sintido.
"Is there any way I could help?"
He asked, I just shook my head, even though he can't see it.
