The Tokyo training camp was coming, they had received defeat at the inter-high against Aobajohsai. Kageyama was upset that they lost, he did his best to win and support his team, even if he did lose himself a bit. The whole ordeal and seeing Oikawa had made him tense and anxious, Kei could easily sense that. He quickly reassured him he was fine and did the best he could, maybe not in those exact words but Kageyama understood, especially the soft kisses he got along with them. However, once training camp started, Tsukishima couldn't keep as well of an eye on Kageyama as he'd have liked. They couldn't kiss, the risk of getting caught was too high for Tsukishima, and Kageyama begrudgingly agreed, much to his disappointment. He knew Tsukishima was right but it didn't change the fact he wanted them. Especially when Tsukishima and Hinata started working with the captain And setters of Nekoma and Fukurōdani. Hinata was already close with the Nekoma setter and quickly took to Bokuto-san after meeting. Tsukishima was roped into a late practice with the two captains and now became their object of attention which might annoy the blond but he knew it was also helping him get better. Another reason it bothered him was he could see how Kageyama stared at him and could feel the internal pout the younger was hiding. So to appease him, at least a little, Kei sits beside him during meals and secretly holds his hand under the table. Kageyama tightly holds it when he finishes eating, making no effort to leave the table after. One night at dinner, he evens shifts closer, not suspiciously close but their arms were touching and it helped Kageyama relax. Tsukishima hides a smile as he finishes up and tells Kageyama to follow him. They let go when they get up and Kageyama does his best to hide his disappointment and longing as the two of them leave the cafeteria. No one says anything as the two have been close since the incident. Once outside and away from everyone's view, Kei holds his hand out to Tobio and looks at the raven-haired boy when he doesn't take it. "Hm...? You don't want it? You were really holding tight during dinner." "I-I do! Just... didn't want to seem weird for taking it too quickly..." "You do know I already know that you want to hold my hand, right?" "U-Uh!-" Kei just takes Tobio's hand and pulls him along to the back of one of the further away gyms. Once there he looks at Tobio and leans down. "H-hey! What are you doing?! They could see!" Tobio says in a hushed yell. "They're all busy eating and besides, we're so far away, they won't think to look for us here. Are you trying to tell me you don't want them even though you complained about how you weren't going to be able to get them?" Kei asks wondering why Kageyama was acting so weird. 'Usually, he's shy but he's never this shy... Or reluctant...' "No, I want them... I do! But... I don't want to cause problems for you if we get caught..." "... you're an idiot... I made sure the chances of getting caught were low. You trust me don't you?" "I do..." "Then just forget about all those ridiculous thoughts and just do want you really want. Stop overthinking and just relax okay?" Kageyama hesitates before nodding and Kei sighs and leans in again, this time being met halfway. He backs Kageyama against the wall of the gym as they continue to kiss softly. The chatter of the four teams was barely audible from where they were and even if they were louder, they were both too focused on each other to notice them. Kageyama takes Tsukishima's hand and holds it with the same strength he held it at dinner and Tsukishima smirks against his lips. "Don't make fun of me..." Kageyama says before the blond could say anything. "Me? Make fun of you? Never." Kei says chuckling and Tobio pouts at him. The blond found it cute and just leans back in and kisses the pout away instead of saying anything. Kageyama melts and kisses back, if not trying to deepen the kiss "That'll have to hold you until tomorrow," Kei says as he pulls away and hears a groan come from Kageyama. "Oh, so now you want them." Tsukishima teases. "Hey! I wanted them before!" Kageyama frowns and lightly punches Kei's arm. "Yeah, yeah, I know." Kei smiles softly at him and Tobio huffs before tugging on his hand as a sign he wanted another kiss. Kei sighs and leans down again. "We will eventually have to head back y'know?" "Mm... I know! But not yet... right?" Kageyama asks and looks at the blond with the look that Tsukishima has become unable to resist for a few months now. Kei sighs and kisses Kageyama again. "No, not yet." He says and tries to hide his smile in the setter's hair. "I'm really sorry about inter-high." Kageyama whispers and Tsukishima sighs. "I've told you before, don't worry about it. You did your best, I did my best, the team did their best. Seijoh is just stronger right now, that doesn't mean we won't get stronger than them later. I'm sure Oikawa didn't help with your anxiety and turnip head said some unwarranted things that the senpais would attack him for but nothing is your fault and you have no reason to apologize over things that aren't your fault. Do you understand your highness?" Kei says, trying out the nickname but this time with... care or at least not malice in his voice. ",.. I understand..." Tobio says and curls into Kei's neck as he closes his eyes. "Tired? Should we head back?" "Nngh..." Kageyama grumbles and shakes his head against Tsukishima's neck. "Not tired..." he says but Kei knows the setter pretty well at this point and pulls back. "You're tired, let's head back to the room we're staying in and sleep." He says before taking the younger's hand and pulling on it. Although Kageyama wanted to stay hidden longer, he was feeling better and he realized how tired he really was. He yawns and Tsukishima smiles, "C'mon, the king needs his beauty sleep." And Kageyama nods as he follows Kei to bed where the room was empty, everyone must still be eating or gone back for practice. Kageyama gets in bed and Kei kisses his head before gets in his own bed. "Good night your highness" "Mmm... Night." He responds and the room is quiet except for Kageyama's soft breathing. Kei knew it wouldn't take long for the setter to fall asleep. He knew the past couple weeks had been stressful and the blue-eyed boy needed rest. Which is why he texted the team in their group chat that Kageyama was sleeping and to be quiet when they return for the night. He got a reply from everyone and sighs as he watches Tobio's face. "You really are pretty." he says to himself and gently runs his fingers through Kageyama's hair. Kei smiles to himself, relishing in the empty room that he had to himself before leaning over and kissing Kageyama's lips softly before finally laying on his back to fall asleep.
