CHAPPIE 3
Hailey"MOM I'M HOME!" I yelled once I stepped inside our house.
"Oh dear god, the yeller is here." Aiden yelled from upstairs.
"I heard that!" I yelled again as I rushed up the stairs.
"Oomph" I think I just bumped into someone.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't my favorite sister." Jonathan chuckled catching me before I fell to my immediate doom down the stairs.
Wait, Jonathan?
"Holy shit Jonathan you're really here! I missed you!" I said hugging Jonathan as tight as I can. I can feel tears starting to form on my eyes.
"Yeah, I missed you too, favorite sis." Jonathan chuckled. "But I'm afraid we have to cut this conversation short for I believe it's time for food."
"Okay, but promise me tomorrow you'll tell me everything about your college." I told him holding up my pinky. It's like our sibling thing that we always pinky swear on promises. It all started when we were toddlers and I guess it grew on us.
"Yeah, yeah I promise." He said pinky swearing with me.
"Mhm good now let's go eat some good food!"

"Maia tone the fuck down on the cakes." I whispered to Maia who's sitting next to me eating like a fucking pig.
"Hmm..How about, fuck no?" Maia whispered back.
"Well you won't fit in your dress if you keep eating like a pig."
"What is it with you guys calling me a pig today am I getting fat?"
"God, you're so self conscious."
"No I really am not, it's just the job of a Teresa Feather Cristal Academy cheerleader to maintain her diet so that when--"
"I really don't care because you say this all the time." I cut her off.
"Well it's true though. Anyway, changing the subject, are you excited for your annual kiss?"
"Hell no."
"Again? I really mean it though how can you not--"
"So what are you lil kids whispering to each other about?" Jonathan thankfully stopped our conversation from going any further.
I saw a mischievous glint in Maia's blue eyes.
Oh shit.
"Nothing we were just talking about--"
"Potatoes!" I cut her off and said the first thing that popped into my head.
"You were..talking about potatoes?" Jonathan asked suspiciously.
"Mhm, yeah, we were just talking about..uh..how yummy they are! Yeah!" I said trying to make up a lie.
"Okay then.." Jonathan said clearly not believing us at all, but thankfully he didn't push any further.
"Wow, you're really shit at excuses." Maia whispered again.
"Shut up. What time is it?"
"Nine--oh shit we still need to dress up!"
"Uh mom, can we excuse ourselves? We kinda need to prepare for the new year's eve party." I asked my mom breaking the silence in the dining room.
"Oh, yeah, sure sure we were just about to finish anyway." Mom replied. See, we have this family agreement that we stay quiet when eating and proceed talking when we eat desserts and all that shit. I know, weird.
