Amelia's POV
The next morning I woke up feeling more refreshed than I ever have.
I'd probably feel even more refreshed if I wasn't rudely awoken but warm small fingers poking my cheeks.
I sneakily opened my right eye and saw Kai sitting on my stomach and poking my cheek.
Without him noticing, I slowly moved my hands up to his sides and began tickling him. Our mixed giggles filled the room as he squirmed around trying to get away from my fingers.
"AHH! S-STOPPP!" He screamed whilst laughing. I stopped instantly, letting him crawl away and onto the floor.
Stop means stop. No matter what.
"Come on, it's breakfast." He said pulling me along with him.
We made our way down the stairs and to the kitchen where everyone was already seated and waiting for us.
"Here she is." Kai announced. Everyone looked up and sent smiles and waves my way.
Well everyone apart from Blake and Gray. They glared at me as usual.
"Good morning Amelia, come on and sit." My father said to me.
I went and sat in the only available seat which was next to Jacob and across from Blake. Everyone immediately began to stack up their plates with pancakes, waffles, bacon, eggs and sausages.
I stayed put in my seat not grabbing anything.
"Sweetie, why aren't you getting some food?" Ashley questioned me.
"I'm j-just letting you all g-get f-food first."
I could tell by all the looks I was getting, that I did something wrong.
"You don't need to wait for anyone or let anyone go first. To be fair, we should've let you go first. But come on, dig in." She assured me.
I leaned forward and picked up a single piece of bacon as well as a sausage and a waffle. I sat back and began to eat silently whilst everyone chatted amongst themselves.
"So Amelia, I was thinking. Why don't we have Blake drive you to the mall for you to pick out some school supplies. You'll be starting soon so you'll need to be prepared." My father said.
Immediately, Blake scoffed and began refusing.
"Why can't someone else do it? I don't want to be with that bitch!"
As soon as he said that, my heart pounded in my chest and a lump formed in my throat. I get that he doesn't like me but I didn't know he hated me that much.
"It's o-okay. Can I just order things online? Please, it will b-be much e-easier for m-me." I pleaded. My father looked reluctant and was about to refuse.
But after seeing the look on my face, he agreed.
"Alright fine, but you better order your things straight away, so they come in time."
The rest of the boys sat silently the whole time.
Not one of them stuck up for me.
They all just watched and ate.
"May I be excused?" I stood up without waiting for an answer and headed straight for the music room.
Music cures all.
I ran inside, locked the door and slowly began to sob.
Even though the room was soundproof, I made sure to stay quiet. I wouldn't want to be anymore of a burden than I already was.
