Xann pulled me out into the hall with haste and just when we got outside he shut the door and slid up against it while letting a sigh escape him. I just stared at him in amazement.
"I get so angry when my people are unintelligent." he sighed again.
I couldn't bring myself to reply.
"What is the matter?" Xann squat down close to me.
I mustered up the energy to say something, "Wow." I shook my head and stared at him intently. "How did you do that?"
He looked as surprised as I was, "What do you mean?"
"How did you get him to admit it so fast?" I kept my intent gaze.
He chuckled, "Magic, my dear boy, magic. The very same substance that runs through both your's and your sister's veins."
"What?"
"Eventually you will understand how to use your power to the best of your ability as I have learned how to do.The world is full of magic and power.Everywhere people use the power they have to their advantage. That is all I did. I made him want to tell the truth. That's all." Xann smirked slightly at me.
"Then what about the 'as the God of the genies' thing?"
"To understand that you must understand I am not as I appear to be. I am much older than I look. I am, in fact, God of all genies." He stood up tall to show his pride.
Just then Miriah sped towards us. She had arrived at a whole new level of cleanliness. She was full of radiance and elegance. "Ry look at me! I am pale!" She giggled, "I smell pretty too!"
"I see that." I smiled at my little sister. "I guess that means its my turn?"
"Yes!" She seemed so excited.

After I bathed, I began to walk around the halls to see the palace that I used to know. Magnificent tapestries--all of which were made of stainless white linen embroidered and rimmed in the most delicate of gold trim--lined the walls. Paintings of royals and hieroglyphs also made their appearance trough out the rooms that I passed through. Things that, as a child, I had used in my everyday life were now encased in glass, protected from all that wish to harm them. The palace floors felt cool beneath my freshly cleaned feet.
My exploring soon brought me to the palace's breathtaking library. It's shelves were filled with the literature of my people--our struggle and triumph. I soon came across a young looking girl. Watching her dance through these rows of shelves reminded me of Miriah's young spirit and that I should be returning to her soon, yet I was excited to see someone there my own age. Even though I lay locked away in a tomb for many years, my confidence in my social abilities have not wavered. As I came close to this young girl, I started to see a beauty in her. Dusty brown hair danced behind her. She was just putting books away, yet it was so graceful that I had to watch. I was wonder struck. A beautiful flower patteren ran from her neck to her right cheek stopping under her eyelids. It was made of the same golden shimmer as Xann had on him.
Before I could think of a proper way to introduce myself I blurted out, "That must have been painful!" She turned to me and laughed. Her sweet laugh also reminded me of my sister. An innocent voice rang out of her, "I am glad you think so. Actually, it wasn't. Hello Ryan."
"It wasn't? How is that possible?"
She softly giggled, "As a genie, you should know we get our own set of tats naturally. Though I only see but one tattoo on your body?"
"Yeah...Hey! How did you know my name?"
"I knew your family." She put another book on the shelf.
