7:10pm.

bakugo was late,  but you didn't mind. the two of you had been playing minecraft until 11pm last night, mainly because the two of you had gotten a little too carried away and forgotten to check the time. that was until iida came knocking on the door to tell you to get some sleep, surprised he was in your dorm room but not saying anything. if bakugo needed a little nap before coming over, then so be it. you didn't want him to be seriously grumpy again.

7:20pm.

a pout crossed your face as you dangled upside down on your bed, the game on pause as you waited for the blonde to come knocking, his usual-gravelly voice cursing as he wandered in. maybe he'd lost track of time and forgotten to set an alarm. he could've even got caught up on the way and found out who was stealing his cereal every morning (you'd promised kaminari you weren't going to tell him). but it didn't matter, you could wait.

7:30pm.

okay. this is weird.

despite a lot of people's misconceptions, they seemed to think bakugo was constantly late to things and never arrived on time, but you knew that to be false. he was fairly consistent with arriving either early or exactly on the dot, and the latest he'd been was about five or ten minutes. usually, he'd make up for that time in the end, but half an hour was... way too weird for bakugo.

standing up and stretching, you opened your dorm room to see if he was coming, but nobody was there. you furrowed your eyebrows and stuffed your hands into your pockets, wandering down the corridor to see if he was there. but there was nobody in sight. the elevator was coming up from the bottom floor, but when it opened, it was shoji who left. he gave you a quick wave, to which you returned, and he took note of your confused expression.

"y/l/n, are you alright?" he asked, and you shrugged. "you look lost."

"i was supposed to be meeting bakugo here half an hour ago, but i've got no idea where he is," you answered, scratching the back of your neck nervously. "have you seen him?"

"not since dinner, sorry," shoji said, pressing one of his ears against a wall to see if he could hear him. to be honest, it was pretty pointless. if bakugo was making noise, anyone would be able to hear him, even if they were deaf. he was possibly the loudest person you'd ever met. "and i can't hear him either. he's probably in his dorm room."

"thanks," you smiled, and he nodded as he wandered past to go to tokoyami's room. quickly, you entered the elevator, wondering if he was alright as you ascended up two floors. now that you thought about it, he'd certainly been quiet the whole day - well, as quiet as bakugo could get, anyway. he'd been acting weird, getting very easily agitated at people like midoriya and todoroki, and hadn't sat with any of you at lunch. kirishima had gone looking for him with a bowl of rice, only to return less than five minutes later with a shrug.
