*Third person POV

*This chapter continues from the cliffhanger from the last chapter.

The room suddenly grew eerily quiet, and then Percy began to laugh. His hysterical laugh echoed throughout the room in a giddy tone, his body shaking as a result of his laughter. Soon, he calmed down and faced Annabeth, staring into her cold, grey eyes. Annabeth was not amused, nor was she laughing. "Annabeth, why aren't you laughing? That's the best joke I've heard in a while. The whole "I'm gonna break up with you," attitude is priceless." Immediately it dawned on Percy that she may actually be serious, and his expression changed from a big grin, to a dead, serious face full of sadness. Annabeth spoke up, sensing the tension in the room "Percy, I'm being completely serious. We've grown apart over the past several weeks, and I just think the spark we once had together is no longer there. " After finishing her statement she placed a delicate hand on Percy's shoulder.

He picked up her hand and shoved it away, " Annabeth, what do you mean spark? I love you just as much as I always have." Annabeth turned toward the door, wanting to escape the conversation, when Percy grabbed her shoulder and turned her to face him.

"Annabeth how could you say we have no spark?! I love you more than anything in this entire world, since when have I stopped loving you? We've been through everything together, I've saved your life and you've saved mine. We've been through literal hell together! I've done it all for you, ONLY YOU!" Spoke Percy, his anger escalating a steady rate.

"I'm sorry Percy, but can't you take the hint. We're done, we're breaking up."

Percy was now almost in tears, not wanting to let go of Annabeth. Since when did Annabeth not love me anymore, thought Percy as he contemplated what he'd done in the past several weeks to deserve this.

No, not him. It couldn't be him. If he was the reason behind this, I will kill him. No, Annabeth is different, she would never fall for a guy like that.

Percy, argued with himself and then decided to voice his thoughts. " Annabeth, please tell me this isn't because you like that jerk!" His tone filled with rage.

" Of course not, seaweed brain." She shouted back at him, but not wanting to meet his eyes. Those fantastic, luminous sea green eyes that she had always admired.

Annabeth's behavior confirmed Percy's fears and his heart sank. He felt broken beyond repair, completely shattered. The love of his life had fallen for another. His soulmate, his wise girl, had found someone better, hotter, and maybe even more heroic. Not only had Reed taken the attention of his friends, but his girl, his Annabeth.

The ground began to shake uncontrollably, Percy's belongings toppled to the floor. This was no ordinary earthquake, this was brought on by Percy's catastrophic rage. The floor continued to shake, and Annabeth shouted at Percy amidst the chaos happening. "PERCY, STOP IT! You're going to bring down the cabin and kill us!"

Percy was seated on the ground, tears streaming down his face, his body shaking like the occurring earthquake. This time he didn't want to stop, he wanted the cabin to crush him and take his pain away.

Annabeth was terrified, and in fear for her own life she ran and left Percy alone in his cabin. She went off to try and find Chiron, to stop Percy from destroying the camp.

She found him near the campfire, shouting at nearby campers to get down and stay away from the falling debris.

"Chiron!" Annabeth called out in the distance, "It's Percy he's causing all of this, you need to get him to stop. I already tried!" Chiron reached Annabeth, and headed toward the Poseidon cabin, while the seven and Reed followed behind them.

Chiron tore open the door and found Percy where Annabeth left him, shaking in rage and fury.

Chiron knelt down to Percy's level and spoke in a steady voice. " Percy, cease this earthquake, you're going to bring down the camp. Please, stop."

Realizing he may have hurt some of the campers, he reluctantly stopped. Taking back control of his emotions. Everyone sighed in relief, glad that the ground had stopped shaking.

"Never do that again, Percy. This isn't like you, what brought on this reaction of anger?"

Percy gestured over to Annabeth, his eyes sunken with sadness. " I don't understand," Chiron said quietly, not understanding what Percy meant.

Reed spoke up, his voice laced with arrogance. " I understand, sir. Annabeth broke up with that fool, and he got upset. He's just jealous she found someone better ... me."

Percy immediately got up and spit into Reed's face. "I should kill you Reed, but I'm better than that. Whatever you did to her to make her love you, it won't work for long. I'll figure it out, there is no way she would ever actually fall for you. You arrogant, ugly pig. "

Reed shoved Percy backward into a nearby statue, the stone bruising his head.

" Boys, boys. Stop fighting, Reed get out of here, and Percy if you don't calm down you're going to be in trouble."

Reed left the room and the others followed one by one, and Annabeth looked at Percy with disgust and walked out the door. So, Percy was now alone with his thoughts again, looking around the room at the destruction his outburst had caused.

I'm done with this place. My friends and Annabeth are followers of that pompous scumbag Reed, and now everyone probably hates me because I almost destroyed the camp.

Without giving his observation a second thought he began to pack. He packed his clothes, and he packed the memories away, becoming sadder and sadder as his bag filled up. Why should he stay? There was nothing left for him here.

After he finished, he set off for the camp borders. Determined to get away from this place he had once called home, but no more. He was running away from his memories, good and bad. A thought settled into his mind, what if he was making a mistake? He didn't care anymore, he just wanted to get away from Annabeth, away from his friends and fellow campers. He wrestled with himself, for a few more minutes and finally reached the border of the camp. He was leaving, that was final, and maybe he was never coming back. With his final decision, he put his heavy backpack on his shoulders, walked past the magical border, and slipped into the shadows of the forest.
