Chapter 8: Cheryl's birthday

1 year later

Toni's POV

I woke up to my girlfriend's head on my chest. I smiled as I kissed her forehead before gently replacing my body with a pillow.

I kissed her temple before creeping downstairs. I saw one of Cheryl's maids in the kitchen. "Hey, Sal." I smiled.

"Hello, Ms. Topaz. Today is the big day?" She asked. I nodded, getting the ring out of my jacket near the hall.

"Isn't it pretty?" I asked as we stared at it. She nodded, "She has to say yes." She said.

I nodded, "I sure how she does. This has been a dream of mine since we were young." I smiled.

"Cheryl is a lucky girl." She nodded. "That she is." I giggled before pocketing the box.

"I'm going to get ready. Is everything set up?" I asked.

"As requested, Ms. Topaz." She nodded. "Great! Don't forget to leave the note next to her bed, yeah?" I said.

"Yep, get going before she wakes up." She chuckled. I nodded before rushing over to V and B's house.

Cheryl's POV

I groaned as cuddled into the soft pillow- pillow?! I opened my eyes noticing Toni wasn't in bed. "TT, Baby?" I called. I didn't get an answer, I reached for my phone but found a note.

Hey, Birthday girl. Happy 24th! So, I have this scavenger hunt set up. It leads you to me, your one and only. I have a surprise for you, so hurry up and get to me. Get your first note from sally. Love you, xoxo

I smiled, classic Toni. Only Toni knew how to make things exciting. I showered before getting dressed. I wore ripped jeans with a sweater and my white converse.

After getting dressed, I grabbed my apple watch, wallet, and phone before going downstairs.
"Morning, Sally." I smiled. She smiled back, "Good morning, Ms. Blossom. I have your fruit bowl ready. Also, Happy Birthday." She smiled.

"Thank you, Sally." I smiled as she left the kitchen. I went to my counter, picking up the note as I sat down.

I remember that day where you scraped yourself on the playground. And I kiss your knee to make you stop crying. We were so cute then, but we're cuter now. Go to the place where I kissed your booboo bye-bye.

I chuckled, shaking my head before picking my fruit bowl up.

I entered the playground, looking for the next note. Once I found it, I picked it up, opening it up to find two hearts with words in them.

Can you imagine little us, sitting on the ground as I comforted you? Haha, adorable. But another unforgettable memory was when I accidentally fell off my skateboard. Remember that road? Go there to find your next clue.

"What am I going to do with you, Topaz?" I asked myself as I got back into my car.

Once I made it to that road, I found the note stuck to a pole. I collected it before opening it.

You were always telling me not to do that trick on my skateboard until I knew it well. And once I fell, I saw you so mad but worried at the same time. Your last clue is waiting for you at the place we had our first romantic moment ( we didn't know it then)

"The high school!" I chuckled as I rushed back into my car.

Toni's POV

"Okay, You guys ready?" I asked as Mr. Blossom fixed the jacket. "She's going to be so happy, T." Jason smiled as he held Jordan.

I nodded as I took a deep breath. We heard a car pulling into the driveway as Veronica came back in,
"She's here!" She whispered. I nodded as I cleared my throat. Everyone got into their places, holding their cameras out. Cheryl entered the gym as the lights went dim and the disco ball started spinning.

How can I keep myself away when I'm falling on for you?

I smiled, remembering the song we danced to that night. "TT?" Cheryl whispered as she walked to me.

I smiled, opening my arms. She ran to me, hugging me tightly. "You found me, baby. Was it fun?" I asked as she pulled away. "Very fun." She with a nod before looking around, "What's all this?" She asked as she saw everyone recording. She waved at Emily (Veronica's daughter)

Don't fall, don't feel. But I sink farther. Do you feel the same way?

"6 Years ago. We stood there, face to face, and I told you how beautiful you look while you blushed and waved it off as a compliment. But I meant it in a way that nobody else would be able to understand." I said as I got on one knee. Cheryl gasped as tears threaten to spill from her eyes.

"I want to be there forever by your side. I want to be there to wipe your tears, take away your fears, cuddle you to sleep. Before there for you at your lowest. Cheryl, Words can't express how much I have dreamed of this moment. Cheryl Marjorie Blossom, will you marry me?" I asked.

Cheryl didn't hesitate to answer as she frantically nodded. "Yes! Hell yes!" Cheryl yelled excitedly. I smiled as I stood up, sliding the ring on her finger.

Cheryl pulled me into a passionate kiss, holding me right against her.

How can I keep myself away when I'm falling on for you, I've never known this kind of love. I Can't help that I'm falling on for you

Everyone cheered and whistles as we kiss.

"Ewww!" Jordan squeaked as we kissed. I pulled away a giggle falling from my lips. "I'M GETTING MARRIED!" Cheryl cheered making everyone erupt into cheers again.

Cheryl's POV

I sighed as Toni wrapped her around me from behind. "How did my beautiful bride-to-be enjoy her birthday?" She asked as we stood away from our family. I turned to face her, a grin on my face.

"She had the best day ever," I said, scratching the back of her neck. "I'm the luckiest woman in the world," I whispered, staring into your eyes.

"I'm the luckiest woman in the world." Toni declared, shaking her head. I smiled as she leaned in to kiss me once more. We felt a small hand touch our legs making us look down at 1-year-old Emily who had a smile on her face her two little small teeth showing.

"My baby!" I smiled, bending down to pick her up. I kissed her cheek making the small girl giggle happily as Toni and I showed her some love.

I can't wait till we have our own.
