Cheryl's POV

"You look so beautiful, Cher," Toni whispered as she wrapped her arms around my waist, staring at me through the mirror. I smiled, letting her kiss up my neck.

"Why do we have to go to this engagement party?" Toni pouted, continuing her kisses. I chuckled, turning to face her, "Because our family is excited that we are getting married."

Toni huffed, "But you look so tasty..." I rolled my eyes at my fianceé, "you can have me later, Baby." I tap her on her nose softly before pecking her lips and grabbing my purse.

"Ready? Everyone is waiting." I chuckled as Toni stood there frozen. Toni shook out of her trance, walking up to me as she held my waist to led me out of the room.

"I'd like to make a toast to the beautiful engaged couple, Cheryl and Toni. Without them, my life would be a total mess." Sweet pea spoke into the mic. "I remember in high school after my parents died I fell into a void. I started drinking, I even came to school drunk. Until Cheryl slapped me like slapped me hard. And she says 'Listen here you little, shit. You're going to get your shit together because we are all making it out of this hell hole.' then she dragged me to the locker room and threw me under cold water. I'm so happy she did because I would be here right now. So kudos to Cheryl for being a badass!" He cheered making everyone erupt in laughs and cheers.

I giggled as Toni kissed my cheek, then took a swing of her wine. After a while, Betty went onto the stage, little Emily on her arm. "Uh, Where do I began. Yes! I remember in 10th grade, Toni and Cheryl threw this big party since Toni's parents weren't home. We played spin the bottle and I remember that Veronica's turned landed on Toni. I could see the glare in Cheryl's eyes as they kissed. But when I questioned her about It later she just told me she just didn't like the idea of Toni kissing Veronica but in a 'Best friend' way. Yeah, I didn't believe her but I don't even feel bad because she and Toni were made for each other." Betty finished, raising her glass. "Say Hi, Em." She spoke softly.

"Hi!" Emily waved, her cute little chubby hands grabbing the mic before putting it in her mouth. Every cooed as Betty walked off stage with her daughter.

Toni then stood up, making me shake my head as she smirked and went on stage. "Ohhh, do I have a lot to say about my sexy ass fianceé... Hmm, let's see. In college, Cheryl was going through a breakup with some weird college girl. She smelt like burnt carpet, I don't know what she saw in her, but she liked her. I was 2 dorms down from her when she busted into my room crying. This is pretty funny. The girl I was vibing with got so scared that she jumped in my sink. Cheryl just stared at her, eyes red and puffy but I saw her laugh so hard. She was rolling on the ground. Funny, because after that the girl never texted me back." She chuckled. My face was red in embarrassment.

Toni got off of the stage, laughing as she sat beside me. "I remember that," I said, my face still red. Toni chuckled, "Who would be able to forget?" She asked, pecking my lips.

I can't wait to marry her.

Toni's POV

"Let's dance!" Cheryl giggled as she pulled me up. I smirked, "Gladly!" As she dragged me to the dance floor with everyone else.

Cheryl and I danced, giggling and smiling as everyone around us was filled with glee. That fun soon subsided as the music stopped and everyone went quiet.

I looked around to see my parents. They were here, like actually here. "Mom! Dad!" I cheered, running over to them. My mother embraced me, sighing as she squeezed me. "Guys... What's up with you?" I asked as I looked up at them.

"Can we talk to you? Alone?" My father asked. I looked at Cheryl who gave me an encouraging smile and nod. I looked back at him, "Yeah, sure."

They led me out into the garden, they didn't look so happy. "We have... Something we have to tell you." My mother said.

My heart started beating fast, "What is it?" I asked, wiping my sweaty palms on my pants. "Well, the reason why we weren't around was that... We-" My mother cut herself off as she tried not to cry.

"What? What is it? You're scaring me." I said, narrowing my eyes. My father sighed as he continues, "We found out grandpa Owen was sick."

My face dropped. Grandpa Owen was my favorite, "I-I he- is he okay?" I asked, tears threatening to spill.

"We don't know... We planned a trip on your birthday to see him so can see how much you've grown. He told us to give you this, took a while to convert it." My father said, handing me a note.

My beautiful butterfly, Look how beautiful you are, I can't get over how much taller you've gotten. Grandpa is a bit sick now, so I can't move much to come and see you. I miss you, and I love you.

-Grandpa O

I whipped my face I cried. "Is he-?" I was about to ask but they cut me off.

"He's not getting any better, T. He wants us to fly you out to see him." My father explained.

"But this doesn't explain why you we never around when I was smaller," I said, looking into my mom's eyes. She looked at my father who nodded.

"You see, Toni. We didn't know what to do with a kid. We were so young, and I couldn't bring myself to give you up to just regret it later. So we stuck around only when you seemed okay. We knew the Blossoms bad your back, we-we're very sorry, T." My mother explained.

I shook my head, "I don't need your apology. I just need to see my grandfather." I growled as I rushed back into the venue.

I walked up to Cheryl, gently taking her by the arm, "Hey, Baby, we have to catch a flight to England." I said as she stood up. Cheryl raised her eyebrow, then realization struck her. "Is he...?" She asked.

"I don't think he has much time left." I frowned. Cheryl nodded as she ran over to her parents to explain to them. They nodded, waving Cheryl off as she rushed back to me.

"We're gonna take my father's private jet. We have a house up there, where we can stay. Let's go." Cheryl said, grabbing my hand.

We met my parents outside, Cheryl sent them a side look as we walked passed them.

Just hold on grandpa, I'm on my way.
