Toni's POV
"Well..." Cheryl trailed. I raised my eyebrow at her, pushing her to continue.
Cheryl gave me an unsure look. "Hey, I won't push you if you're not ready to say," I said, squeezing her hand.
Cheryl took a deep breath. "Okay, well, uhm. Do you remember that day at our senior prom in high school?" She asked.
"I remember it like it was yesterday, Why?" I asked, caressing her knuckles. She took another deep breath before continuing, "My date had dumped me for another girl, which I didn't care about since I wasn't even into guys, I just wanted to go with one person. But she had a date." Cheryl explained.
I already knew about Cheryl being lesbian since she came out to me on her 17th birthday and she knew about me being Bi since I came out to her when we were in sophomore year.
"Who was she? Did I know her?" I asked softly. Cheryl nodded, "Very well." She chuckled, tears taking over the brim of her eyes.
"Okay, continue." I nodded. "She looked so beautiful that night. I couldn't take my eyes off of her." She said as a tear rolled down her cheek.
I was getting jealous of how she was describing this girl, the girl I wish was me, but little did I know.
"Quite frankly, she always looked beautiful. With her soft brown eyes, wavy brown locks, fluffy kissable lips, there were times where I couldn't control myself. There were times where she caught me staring, and she'd give me that amazing smile." Cheryl shook her head as she looked down.
"What was her name?" I asked, trying to hide my jealousy.
"Antoinette Topaz. My best friend, my one and more." Cheryl looked into my eyes as she squeezed my hand.
I sat there, shocked. I wasn't expecting her to say it was me, because the way she was describing this girl made it seem like she was some model.
"Cher..." I whispered, but she cut me off. "At first it started as a thought. In 5 grade I saw your dress for graduation, and I thought She's beautiful but as a best friend, I've always thought that. Then when we got to 7th grade where you held my hand whenever someone would make me uncomfortable, I thought She's beautiful and Kind but I felt my heart fasten as your soft fingers laid in mine. Then we entered high school, sophomore year, people started dating. And I thought Toni and me, Amazing couple. But that's when I realized I had a crush on you. Forward to our senior prom, my date bailed on me, and I looked up and saw you. Your hand out, giving me the sweetest smile. We danced, and you told me how beautiful I looked that night. That's when I realized I was in love with you. I'm in love with you, Toni." She said, salty tears on her pale beautiful face.
"You are anything I ever wanted. Anything." She sniffled. I grabbed her hand, placing it on my chest.
"You feel that?" I asked as she nodded. "It's beating so fast." She chuckled, I nodded, "That's how you make me feel." I replied, staring at her beautiful blue-green eyes.
"You make my heart beat ten times faster than it already does. And-and- I don't ever want it to stop." I smiled, reaching over to dry her face.
"Cher- I've always been in love with you. Always." I whispered, pulling her closer. I kissed her forehead as I held her.
Cheryl had her eyes closed with a sweet smile, "I knew it, you big softie." She whispered before placing her face in my neck.
"How about we take a nap?" I whispered in her ear before kissing behind it.
"Thought you'd never ask. All that crying made me tired." She giggled, "I love you." She said. My heart flutter.
"And I love you." I smiled, kissing lips. Cheryl took her face out of my neck, kissing me once more.
"You don't know how long I've been wanting to do that." She sighed. "Do it more often." She whispered. And I nodded, "Anytime you want me to."
