"Okay, this is it! I'm about to go see the boys of my dreams live in concert!" I squealed, getting myself ready to go. Today was a big day for me. Bigger than any other day of my life.
The name's Melody Jordan, and although you may think I'm spoiled by taking just one glance at me, I'm actually not. I just have a solid job. Well- somewhat solid. I just take on random acting gigs and make good money for it. Of course, I'm not famous, but I'm well-known in a few cities surrounding my hometown. And considering that London is my hometown, I guess that makes me somewhat famous.
I know how to make myself known. And that's what got me to where I am. I have a nice flat, my own car, I go to a good university. Life is good for me. My family is extremely supportive of me, and I enjoy the struggles and luxuries of being an adult. I can pay for whatever I need and want, including the tickets to the One Direction concert that I was going to attend.
If you knew me, you'd know that One Direction is my favourite band on the planet. I had a lot of posters, t-shirts, hoodies, their cds, you name it. I even had a couple of souvenirs from their X-Factor days. The only think I was never able to obtain was concert tickets. But now, I had one. And it was the best kind yet. A meet-n-greet pass backstage! I actually got the chance to talk to them in person! The day couldn't get any better.
*.*.*
I drove myself to the venue that the concert was being held at, blasting their Take Me Home cd all the way there. I was going to meet up with a few of my friends when I got there so that we could find our seats and enjoy this experience together. They didn't have enough for the backstage pass, though, so we're just gonna enjoy the concert part together.
And there they were. My three best girlfriends (as in girls that are my friends. we tried the dating thing individually but we all decided mutually to remain best friends) in the whole world: Jordana, Serena, and Tori. We've all been friends since we were three years old and have been inseparable ever since. But little did I know that they were gonna be a part of something huge.
"Mel!" they all called simultaneously. Did I mention that they're triplets? No? Well now you know. They have triplet telepathy, which is pretty funny when it happens. Which is all the time. I smiled big and ran over to squeeze my girls out in a giant bear hug.
"Hey guys! Are you just as excited as I am?" I asked with the goofiest grin on my face. They all looked at me like I was crazy.
"Excited? Sweetie, we're ecstatic! We're about to see our celebrity crushes for the first time ever in person!" Serena squealed out with Jordana speaking out right after.
"Not only that, but you earned the chance to meet them! There aren't many people that get that opportunity." she beamed, showing that she was proud of me. I could tell that she was somewhat jealous, too. They all were. But I didn't mind because they're my best friends. I'd never hold that against them.
I laughed and nodded. "You're right. But you know what? I'll make sure to take tons of pictures. And if they allow me, I'm gonna facetime you lot so that you can say hello!" I said with more excitement being present in my voice. Then that's when all of us started squealing. Someone would've seen us and thought that we were absolutely bonkers. We didn't mind, though.
Then after what seemed like an eternity, the concert finally started.
It was such an adrenaline rush! All of the screaming and singing and dancing, and a plus, we were extremely close to the stage... we had so much fun. It was the most fun we've all had together in a long while. And it felt so good and made me so happy. However, throughout the concert, something kept throwing me off of my groove.
