Chapter fourteen

Thursday

The boys were gone to work and I had just made Raven lunch. Taylor planned on coming tonight to stay a couple of weeks. Raven, Payton and I were all at the park. I had just released Payton into the pen with the other dogs, well uhe released himself. I was watching Raven play with other kids as their parents gather around me. It was a group of four women.

"So you're Carter Bryson's new girlfriend. I seen you in a magazine." The dark haired one spoke.

"Magazine?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"Honey, they're rich and popular. What did you expect?" The blonde asks as I stand up because they were blocking my view of Raven.

"Well I'm not a girlfriend. Just a friend." I fake smile wanting to get away from them.

"So you're the help?" The blonde states with a smirk.

"You're not dating? If not I'm gonna try to get me some of that sexy man myself." The other dark haired woman said laughing with the others.

"Good luck trying." I fake smile making them scoff and walk away. I sit on the other bench and am approached by another person.

"Please, keep your thoughts on Carter Bryson to yourself." I mumble.

"It's probably be best if I did." I recognize Kai's voice.

"No, just leave me alone. We have nothing to talk about."

"Noel please, I meant what I said. I care about you. I want you not Nicole. She was just there." He grabs my hand trying to explain.

"Well she can stay there." I pull my hand away going and getting Raven and then Payton and leaving.

I'm not mad at Kai for moving on and not wanting to wait for me anymore. I'm mad because he was dating someone and still took me to dinner, kissed me, asked me to be his girlfriend, and took me to his house. It's disrespectful at the most and trashy.

I had drove Vantes Jeep since they took Carter's truck and Mateo's car was too junky. Plus a Jeep has been my dream car. We arrive back at the house and I see Taylor's car in the driveway.

"Your Auntie Tay is here." I smile to Raven as she widens her eyes.

"I missed her!" She tries to unbuckle her seatbelt.

I let Payton run off to go eat and unbuckle Raven. She races into the house and yells for Taylor. Taylor starts coming down the stairs and hugs Raven.

Raven drags us both to the couch to watch a show with her. She sits in her little rocking chair in front of the television.

"How was your date last night?" Taylor elbows me.

"It was good. He was sweet as always until we got back to his house and I find out he's in a relationship with Carter's ex." I roll my eyes.

"You're lying? Nicole the dragon?"

"Yes, Nicole the dragon." I laugh as the guys burst in pissed.

Their clothes were clean for once but the anger on their face was scary. Carter storms off up to his room as Mateo flops on the couch with Vante.
